this location no longer open

by writermom

The new Chelsea location is dingy and crime-prone. My husband had a large amount of cash stolen from the locker room while he was getting a massage--we suspect an inside job. The receptionist makes a big deal out of having you program your own combination for the lockers, but she shouldn't bother, if the place can't guarantee your things will be safe. If you must go to this spa, be sure to take your valuables with you wherever you go. And avoid Rosa--she has cold hands.

it's a really good spa. but let's keep it a secret.

by clairelin

I was just there and the experience is beyond expectation.

The receptionists were friendly and professional. The spa itself was calming and clean. Free sauna and cucumber-lemon water. I was given a luxurious robe, Frette towels, and the sheets were amazingly comfortable.

My esthetician was Karolyn. She was intuitive with what my skin needed. Good pressure on massage.

Price is medium-high. If you could get some discount, definitely worth it to go.

I had the pleasure of doing the brazilian Keratin treatment with Benicio in the Salon area of the spa, not only have I gone back 2 because i loved the treatment but the service and quality of the Salon is amazing, Benicio is great, professional and knows what he is doing. I'm very pleased with him and the the salon and will definetly be back again.

Thank you Benicio!

Beautiful salon, really caring service!

by Fordham1Elle

I found this salon on Lifebooker, since I'd just moved to the Lincoln Center area for school. I usually get a single process, or a single process plus highlights, but I wanted to try a BKT (Brazilian Keratin Treatment). My stylist, Benny, really listened to what I wanted, and touched up the color and the keratin until they were perfect. He didn't want me to leave until he was sure I was happy, and looking lovely.

He also gave me pretty much undivided attention. At most other salons I've been to, stylists have two or three clients at once, and have to race back and forth. Here, I felt like the center of attention, but in a low key way. In addition, the prices were very reasonable, and I was able to put the tip on my credit card, which is unusual, but very convenient. I plan to keep coming back to Benny, and I want to get a massage at the spa here before finals!

  • Pros: This place is a hidden mecca for hair.
