Bad service and cold French Fries

by Anthony Jackson

Christian and I stopped by this location before our movie to grab a bite and it was a disaster. The service was awful and Claudia our waitress kept disappearing as if she was in the back getting her groove on. We were offered an opportunity to sit upstairs but was not informed that the unlimited fries weas not available upstairs. The water that she gave us tasted like swamp. Bad choice.

Really Good

by JohnNYC17

I live within 45 seconds of the place and I really like it. The staff are nicer than at your average chain restaurant. I ask for the burgers greasy .... it's just better that way! The onion rings and fries are a little lackluster, but when I first drank from one of their divine malts, all my earthly worries melted away. Heavenly!

Johnny Rockets 1134 1st Ave

by larsonp08

My girlfriend and I ate there on a Thursday night because it was close to the movie theater we were coming from. We were seated quickly and the waitress tended to us quickly as well. They have a decent array of desirable milkshakes, but I was amazed at how pricey they were- at $6.25. I ended up getting one of the cheaper, standard milkshakes which were $5.25. The bacon cheddar double (burger) I got was very good. However, As I picked it up, I watched a handful of grease pour onto the plate below. This was slightly concerning but I'm not a health freak so it didn't bother me that much. All in all, Johnny Rockets hit the spot quite well.

Best Burgers & Service!!

by Allesandra

Johnny Rockets Sports Lounge offers the best burgers and service with a nostalgic 1950's feel. It's a happy place, with table top juke boxes for fun!

Upstairs, is the same food & service, but it's a sports lounge with comfy couches & HDTV everywhere.

They even have a "frequent eater" program!

What's not to love?!?

A Great Burger for Lunch or After Work

by bigabandit

Love the Burgers and Shakes. We had a great waitress who was super friendly and helpful (I believe her name was Salwa??). I had a cheeseburger with Fries, which was really good. I will definitely be going back in the future for another great meal. I love the sports lounge upstairs, makes watching a game and having a great meal/beer for happy hour that much better. I love going for lunch, as i work down the street at the hospital.

Great burgers AND great service!

by Dreisner

What a great Johnny Rockets! We were craving a burger after doing some shopping around the corner. And we were not disappointed! Food was excellent, service was super friendly (thanks Daniel!) and their new Butterfinger Ice Cream Shake was the perfect end to a delicious meal. We will be back again soon!

Great for a quick lunch!

by NCtoNY

I wrote a previous review about this place, but I have to revise it. I visited this restaurant with a friend yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. First off, our server, Salwa, was EXCELLENT! She was not only attentive, but funny as well. If you go, look for her on the first floor. The food was excellent and came VERY quickly. We opted for dessert as well, and I highly recommend the oreo milkshake...yum! If you have a chance to check out the lounge upstairs, you'll find it to be very cute and comfy. It is a bit darker upstairs, but the lounge is really for the after work chill crowd anyway. Enjoy!

Geat burgers and fries !

Friendly staff and good service

The oldies music adds to the retro ambiance

There is a sports lounge upstairs, as well

The location is great, as it is close to a large multiplex theater and Sports Club LA

Will be back again soon !

JOHNNY ROCKETS.... SO THE BEST!!!!!

by Thea Devivo

I went to Johnny Rockets restaurant and sports lounge on 1st Ave a couple of weeks ago.. The service was great!!!! The food was amazing. My 13 year old son and I watched a few football games in the upstairs lounge enjoying every T.V. and every bite of food. We have been back three times so far in two weeks. We love it!!!!
