Don't Use A Bloomspot Gift Certificate Here!
by Scout13
To write a negative review of a place I haven't even been to yet shows how frustrating it has been to schedule an appt here using a Bloomspot gift certificate. You can only email the salon to make an appt if you have the audacity to be using Bloomspot, and when you do, it takes DAYS to get a response. In fact, I'm still waiting! I called two days after emailing with no response, and was snapped at rudely by a woman who said that there are specific people at the salon designated to 'deal with' the Bloomspot bookers, and they are "getting to it, it's only been 2 days!' after being put on hold and disconnected the first time I called. I think 2 days is actually a long time to wait to book an appt for which you have already paid, deal or no deal. It has now been 4 days and I have yet to receive a response. I'm nervous about actually going to the salon- if they treat their Bloomspot customers like this before walking in the door, I can't imagine it'll get any better once inside....I don't know why WT would participate in these deals if they feel compelled to treat the customers who purchase them like second class citizens....
Patricia Fitzgibbon, IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
by Karen39
After experiencing a traumatizing hair cut somewhere else I decided I would splurge on my hair, and go to a nice fancy salon(WARREN TRICOMI At The Plaza) and get my hair done by a pro..from the moment I walked in I was greeted very nicely the girls at the reception area were really welcoming then I had my coat checked in and I was thinking this place isn't that big until I walked to the back of the salon. The salon let me just say is very, very BEAUTIFUL, I was introduced to my stylist Patricia Fitzgibbon this Model Like/Beautiful girl she began to touch my hair she has MAGIC fingers!!! What that girl did to my hair was AMAZING! I never had so much volume and movement, after the cut She did the blow dry herself and explained everything she was doing/ so I also got a lesson.. Two days later I did my hair myself and was surprised I could almost re-create what she had done....Then that week I saw Patricia on The Today show doing Martha Stewarts hair.. Need less to say, I FOUND A GEM.. I am defiantly a new client of the salon and of Patricia Fitzgibbon, I AM HOOKED ON PATRICIA! She is so worth it!!!
crappy services... really crappy... :((

Disappointing... my experience was simply disappointing... I can only recommend taking your hair somewhere else... A lazy incompetent colorist hardly listened to my requests and suggestions, and slapped a flat and boring color with utmost confidence... the quality of her work was no better than what I can do at home with any drugstore brand haircolor... not that she cared much .. she was too preoccupied with doing her nails and adjusting her appearance in the mirrors... and needless to say, she didnt like it when I told her that I was unimpressed with the color and the quality of it... Initially, she just walked away.. then she came back and offered (oh that offer felt so forced) to fix whatever it was I was unhappy with... I agreed but before I got to her chair, she promptly departed to an early lunch in the opposite part of town, so she couldnt even come back when the front desk called her... The haircut was good even though I had to wait for stylist for a while despite having a set appointment... the bottom line: OMG, that experience wasnt worth the $$ at all... the color and cut I got, I could have done for way much less with the same, if not better, results... this place is a complete rip-off in a fancy frame...
BAD BAD BAD customer Service. not worth your money
by wilsonyana
OMG..... WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE... The place is nice, but Customer service is the worst ever!!! EVER!!!! I was not happy with my hair cut because my left sideburn is not cut the same as my right one. 3 days later I went back asking them to fix it. 4 of their staff suddenly surrounded me and tried to blame me for not telling my hairdresser earlier. They even intimidated you and claim that you want something done for free. Edward Tacomi, the owner, who showed up after I keep complaining, he bring me out, and told me that my hair is perfect and told me that I just want a 2nd haircut for free... What the hell... it was only freakin 2 days..... He was so rude. Seriously, there are a lot of much better hair salon in NYC with the same price but much better quality! If you ask me, it's really not worth your money or time.
Hair Color

Ask for Liana...I was doing it all wrong at all the wrong places till Liana SAVED my hair! I always felt my hair was dry and straw like after color.. completely untamable. I met Liana, explained my concerns and whatever she did, it worked! My hair has never felt smoother, shinier and al I get is compliments on how healthy it looks. No one even knows it isn't my natural color! Thanks Liana, i am one devoted client from now on!

Run, don't walk to Simone for your hair color! She is the absolute best! My hair is so silky, shiny and natural. She is a true pro with a terrific personality. Gorgeous place as well. Go and enjoy!
Best Color in NYC-Simone
by dyhansen
Simone is the best colorist in NYC. If you are looking for someone who is going to take the time to get to you know you, your personal style and learn about what you are looking for with you hair color- you must see Simone! She always makes me happy after coloring my hair (and that's not an easy thing to do) Simone is the only person that I can trust with my color. She always does such a fantastic job with my color and I am often asked who does my color and I make sure to let them know Simone at Warren Tricomi colors my hair. I HIGHLY reccomend Simone to anyone! You'll love your color and you will fall in love with her as well!- I guarantee it! She is amazing!
Great Experience
by PaddyKenny
I have very long, very fine hair but I have a ton of it. People usually take hours and hours to highlight my hair. My colorist was great. She talked me out of a single process to go blonder and instead took the time to do highlights. It came out way better then I expected and she was right, it was much for my hair and lifestyle.
She also noted for my next appointment to put in more time as to not run into other clients. My stylist was just as attentive and said I had the appropriate style for my face but it just needed a better shape which he did skillfully. I will be back in a few months.
Edward Tricomi rude owner bad customer service
by nycsammy
I went to the salon Warren Tricomi at the Plaza as first time guest, as I wanted to try the services across from my office. I normally go to Fekkai and I am familiar with nice salons.
I was told when I originally went in my highlights would cost $250 by the front desk associate, plus as a local business they extended 20% off as a potential new corporate account.
After the color, I found out from the assistant that blow-dry was not included. That she could arrange one for me at 80 dollars extra or I could do it on my own. Then she mentioned the colorists were not great at blow drying, well why would I do it then? I opted to air dry / quickly dry my hair in the salon as I wanted to work out later.
The entire session I had to hold my handbag as there were no tables in the salon. Very luxurious. I also managed to get serum on my bag that the associate gave me from the leaking bottle, lucky it left a small stain. At the time, the front office manager said they would take care of it.
Then I go to pay my bill and it was $375, way above what the front desk associate quoted on Wednesday at $250.
I spoke a few times to the Front Desk Manager and she put me in touch directly with the owner. Edward was rude; with zero intention to extend a refund of the difference quoted. He was fully obnoxious on the phone. They also told me they would no longer take care of the stain on my bag. I had three friends lined up to go in, I made sure to let them know how I was treated. Definitely go to John Frieda or Fekkai, this place is over priced and the owner Edward is an ungracious host.
Supermodel Eyebrows!
by MissNewYork
Varvara is by far the most impressive eyebrow expert I have ever been to. She’s not only is the sweetest person, she is also very experienced in her profession. She transformed my eyebrows after they were ruined by ill trained “waxers”. I have not let anyone else do them since. I highly recommend Varvara to anyone, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain!!
