I have had really bad cuts and color in the past so I was very wary of trying yet another new hairdresser. Then I met Dawn Weeks. She gave me such a beautiful cut and I have never had a better head of highlights in my life. And, much to my surprise, my cut grew in so nice that I went back to Dawn 2 times for touch ups without needing to cut it yet. And not only is Dawn a fabulous stylist, she is witty and so full of comedy and life that you are drawn to her energy. One thing is for sure, this lady will be fanous one day and I will follow her as a client whereever she may go.

Theo is the man

So I've tried many places in Hoboken. I've been to Imago, Hair Cult and a few others. I have heavy Latin hair and I like a very specific edgy look. No one ever gets that not only do I need my hair razored, but I need it to be THINNED out. For some reason, nobody could understand this. Except for Theo at Bangz.

I walked in and got an appt. the same day. He listened to what I wanted and totally delivered and more. For half the price of other places I finally found someone who listens.

My hair looks just as good as when I leave from my primary hair salon in Springfield. if you are in that area go to Salon Bangles.

Great Place

I have been to a lot of hair salons and always thought i left happy. It wasn' t until i went to Bangz and met Dawn when i realized what i had been missing. She made such a difference to my whole appearance. My hair cut and my color were outstanding. People actually stopped me on the street and asked where i got my color done. Bangz is a great salon and Dawn does an amazing job!!!

I went in to get my hair lightened. I had one of those daring ideas to follow the trends and dyed my hair black. Obviously, I needed to have a color correction to fix the problem, fine. My stylist decided to strip all of my hair from the root down to my ends. I had at least 4 different colors of hair. I told her that I wanted to remain dark, which shouldn't have been to much of a challenge for her, somehow I should have known. After several hours of being in the salon (hearing her mention how residents of this area are too snobish) she finishes my hair. When I walk out of the salon my fiance looks at me and notices dye all over the sides of my face and forehead, which I didn't notice because of how she styled my hair. However, I didn't understand how she as a stylist missed that one. Upset, I went back to the salon and asked to speak to the manager. He/She was nowhere to be found. I called the salon everyday and he/she was never there. Not only did I get horrible service. I wasn't able to solve my problem. If I had known that they messed up on a haircut I would never have had my hair colored at this place!

I got charged $6.00 more than I normally pay there and was told that is because it is after 3pm. That is just crazy! They seemed upset that I refused a shampoo. My hair was clean as I wash it every morning and they always spray it to cut it. I never have a shampoo there. This place is going down hill.

Worst experience ever

DO NOT GO HERE! I went in with straight some-what long hair and asked for a trim with my regular angles in the front. I even specified that I didn't want too much taken off in the front.

When I left I had a complete layered hair-do, the front was soooo short, the long layers in the back were anything but long and they were all choppy and uneven. One side of my hair hung down at least an inch longer than the other. The one decent thing that they did was give me my money back. It was by far the worst hair-cut I have ever received. Go here if you want to walk into work extremely embarrased.
