A car shop that treats women fairly in NYC is RARE. My dealing with Auto design was pleasure and getting my new iPhone hooked up to my stereo and a Bluetooth is amazing!! The price was fair and was actually comfortable with the owner Stefano who was super nice and spent over half an hour showing me how to use the system... I recommend Auto design for your auto gadgets .
Beyond fantastic!

These guys are unbelieveble, a great experiance. I brought my Carrera 4 in for a audio/video/Nav and integrated IPOD system. What led me there was that I saw an advertisement, and learned that they have done work for the most well known dealerships throughout the country, who sell and service the finest cars in the world. First, I met Stefano and Michael who met with me, and custom designed a system for my car. The attention to detail was impressive, the appearance maintained virtually a stock look, and the sound was not to be believed. Truly, even Porsche could never achieve the sound (highs, lows and mid) that these true proffessionals achieved. I couldn't reccommend them more highly. Also, their prices couldn't be more reasonable.
Top notch

Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. A rare combination in the city. Whether it’s Ferraris and Bentleys which they specialize in, or your Honda, the work and attention to detail is 1st rate.
Clearly the best

I drive a 1987 Lincoln Town Car. routinely driving between Killington Vt. and NYC. A high quality sound system is essential to me. The system installed by Audio Designs far exceeded my expectations. The clarity and quality of the sound is instanly impressive.
I am so often met with other people's shock at the quality and neatness of their installation work when I pop my trunk.
And they treated my "vintage" car with total respect.
The right sudio solution for my Hyundai Santa Fe
by Tim F at Citysearch
I have a 2007 Santa Fe and the CD player packed in and there was no apparent way to install an iPod connection. Hyundai dealer had no clue how to fix, modify or replace it, in fact they said they knew it was impossible, so a friend recommended Audio Designs on 10th. They knew exactly what to do (rigging an ipod dock into the FM with a switch to cancel out interference) and the whole thing was turned round in a day, professionally and so far it sounds great. I would definitely go back to these guys in future.
Clearly one of the best experiances i've had.

I recently picked up a used Porsche and decided i needed a radar detector. The dealer were i bought the Porsche recommended Michael Angelo, and said he could help me out. I called Michael, we talked, and he ended up telling me about a great system by Valentine One along with the Blinder laser system. I made an appointment to meet with Mike and he showed me the system they have on display at the shop and by Six O'clock that night i had the most amazing radar laser jamming system I have ever seen installed in my car. The installation looks like it came from the factory and works great. I would definitely recommend Audio Designs to my friends.
These guys actually care.

I left my car with my boyfriend's sister for a couple of months while I left town. She said she'd look after it for me. Her idea of looking after it was to move it under a row of mimosa trees, where she completely ignored it for the entire summer (during a 100+ degree heat wave) as tiny leaves, dirt, bird poop, sticks and pollen accumulated in every crack and crevice of the car, 3" of crud piled up under the sunroof visor, dead leaves baked into every inch of rubber, and mulch formed in the wiper wells! When I finally went to pick it up, it looked so bad that I cried (and then I called AAA to jump-start it).
My car, which had only 25,000 miles on it, looked as if it should be towed to a junk lot. I thought I would have to take it to the Bronx or the 'burbs to deal with it. I cried a lot. And then I went on Citysearch and saw the reviews for Audio Designs.
So I drove on over and met with Michael Angelo. Now, the price he quoted me wasn't the lowest in town. But I knew that my car was well beyond those "Westside highway" drive-up car washes, and needed a minor miracle. Plus, my inspection sticker had run out, and he told me the guys in the garage next door could do it fast right then, which they did. Ten minutes, in and out.
Cut to: almost 4 hours of loving care by Steve, the amazing in-house detailing guy, who does every step of the work himself, and takes real pride in his work. When I came to pick the car up, I couldn't believe it. My car looked new. It was shiny, beautiful, just incredible!! I have no idea how the dude did it, but it's like, for the price of a detailing, he gave me back a brand-new car. He even somehow magically erased the white paint mark my nephew had created from hitting a parking column.
Plus, he offered to remove the cracked-in-half plastic sunroof visor -- which the dealership told me had to be replaced, and could not just be removed -- thereby saving me over $100.
All of this, and in the middle of Manhattan. I strolled down the Highline to Chelsea Market while they worked on my car, and got some sushi.
Freakin' amazing. Five stars. Worth every penny. I just wish they were mechanics, too.
5 star products and execution...

I live and work in the city, and I was looking for a place that could upgrade my sound system and install a radar detector.
If you're like me, you're very apprehensive about just anyone working on their car.
I found Stefano by surfing the web, I took a chance and made an appointment , and now i can say I'm amazed with the work done to both of my cars.
I dropped off both cars :
1) 1987 911 targa
2) 2010 Audi S4
I went and met with Stefano, we talked about what my needs were, my budget, and he came up with a plan for both cars: Valentine 1 hidden in the mirror , with radar jammers, and upgraded radio / speakers/ amps. I explained to him, that I wanted everything as hidden and/or as stock-looking in the car, as possible, that's my personal pref.
Stefano explained to me exactly what he would install, and he managed my expectations on price, products , and the time needed to complete the work.
Hands down, Stefano's shop does the best work in NYC. All of the work completed, was done with precision and pride, and I like that he stands behind everything he does.
I trust his work so much, that I have referred 4 other friends with varying amounts of work to be done.
Every install, being something small , or a large job, he has treated me and my friends fairly and gets the job done to his customer's expectations.
I only bring my cars, and friends to Stefano as I trust his work will be done right and with care. If I ever need any type of that work done, I always go to Audio Design / Stefano. thank you.
Great Service, Great Job

I brought my one year old Maxima in to be detailed. It had a few scratches and the interior was awash in crumbs, coffee spills, apple juice spills and stray Cheerios. Michael set up an appointment and accommodated my scheduling needs. He looked over the car and told me what he could fix regarding the scratches and what couldn't be accomplished with compounding. He called me a few hours later and I picked up the car fully detailed inside and out and even under the hood. The car looks as good as the day I picked it up at the dealer. I plan to use Audio Design next year when detailing season comes around. A great job and a great experience.
- Pros: Michael is hands on, and they did a perfect job
- Cons: None
The perfect model radio receiver, bluetooth, ipod, DVD thing
by Mksoffice at Citysearch
Michael Angelo was recommended to me by the Range Rover Dealer where I bought my 2003 Range Rover. He assured me that Michael was honest, attentive to details, thorough and reliable. He was that and more!
After years of wearing a bluetooth headset, and feeling my brain swelling, I decided that my IPhone should work with the cars sound system as fluidly as new cars. I wanted the call to come in through my sound system and automatically turn off the device in use. I asked Michael for guidance on what to do.
Although I love technology, I don't have the patience to evaluate all the features and decifde on a product. My wife does!...I asked Michael if she could phone him to discuss the options available for the 2003 Rover and choose the system that would be best for my needs and my families, without requiring a car loan!
So he spoke to my wife and installed the perfect model radio receiver, bluetooth, ipod, DVD capable thing at a very reasonable price in a very efficient, thorough way. I love it and reccomend Michael and his Company for any auto sound related improvement. He knows his stuff without flaunting his stuff!
Thank You Michael
- Pros: Honest, Informative and Efficient
- Cons: N/A
