GREAT EXPERIENCE
by dixiedo
The restaurant had a beautiful setting ,quiet and relaxing. The service was great ,and the waiter spent time explaining the menu. All, the food ordered was impeccable. We were a table of four, and our choices, different. The food was fantastic. The freshness of produce was very noticeable, and the fish was cooked to perfection. I would most certainly return and recommend it to others. It was a dining experience I will not forget. Bravo !!
- Pros: GREAT FOOD ,SERVICE ,ATMOSPHERE
- Cons: NONE
BEST PLACE AROUND TOWN

I JUST RECENTLY MOVED ACROSS THE STREET AT THE EPIC BUILDING AND IL CAMPANELLO HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT GREAT EXPERIENCES EACH AND EVERY VISIT. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL WITH A GREAT WINE LIST. THE STAFF WORKED REALLY WELL TOGETHER AND GAVE OUTSTANDING SERVICE. THEY ALSO HAVE OCCASIONAL NIGHT PARTIES WITH DJ'S AND AN EXCLUSIVE VIP BALCONY, LOFT 31. THUMBS UP-WELL DONE!
- Pros: QUALITY FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE, BEAUTIFUL DECOR
- Cons: IN FRONT OF A CHURCH
Beautiful quiet setting, very romantic

Campanello's is one of my favorite restaurants. I go there once a week after taking a course at St. Francis of Assisi adult center which is across the street. The chicken and ravioli dishes are my favorites but they have delicious calamari and salads. The wine list is superb. They know me now so I always get a warm welcome. I am going to have a party there in January.
- Pros: beautitful quiet and romantic atmosphere.
- Cons: Ask them to go light on salt when making chicken romano

Avoid eating here!

We ( group of 7) went there for dinner at around 6:00 on a Saturday night, after an early show at MSG. The resaurant was quiet and kind of empty. Everything we ordered went wrong that night. We first ordered apps. mozzarella sticks with anchovy sauce on the side - the sauce was on the sticks so we sent it back. There were 2 orders of penne ala vodka. Pasta dishes were very small and overpriced. The penne pasta was VERY undercooked and it was very hard to eat. I ordered the filet mignon medium wel and it came back rare and bloody. i sent it back to get cooked some more and it came back burnt and hard to chew. They even gave us a different wine than we had ordered. At the end of the night, we voiced our concerns with the manager and they took off 2 of the pasta dishes off our menu. Horrible night that was very pricey. Everyone left hungry and very disappointed.
- Pros: It was a close walk from MSG
- Cons: Everything
Food was sub-par, would never go back!

The place was empty, should have been our first clue. The food was not good, the $9 Caesar salad was nasty, chicken was dry and the pasta dish was blah. The staff was polite and the bread was good....that's all! They started to tear down the tables for closing while we were still eating, not good.
Avoid it for business or romantic dinner
by Emilioespejo
Food was decent, let me say it again, just decent. The service.. I can get better service at McDonalds. First, they have kids as waiters instead of seasoned waiters, can't even open a bottle of wine. If I wanted applebees I would have made reservations there. I tried to order two different things and they were out of it. Finally I ordered the meat combination, the meats came cold inside and hot inside (microwave?). Ok if you want to take a high school date or for a college get together. Forget it for business or a romantic dinner. And the picture on this website... it lies... the industrial factory ceilings with exposed sprinkler pipe are a disgrace.
Good food, nice staff, lots of space
by bricantor
I've been to Il Campanello twice and both times were enjoyable. The food was good and the staff was very pleasant. I think the best parts of the restaurant is that for the area, it was extremely nice inside (which was quite unexpected) and it's huge! We definitely didn't feel like we were cramped or sitting on top of eachother. I'd definitely go back for another evening.
- Pros: Lots of space, nice staff
A great discovery
by raul1234
It was our last night in the city and we were looking for a memorable restaurant experience. Campanello totally fit our expectations. The place is spacious, romantic and sophisticated, decorated with blonde wood walls and an impressive mural. Great service, very prompt and courteous. But the best part was the food. My wife and I had a hard time deciding among all the Argentinian grill specialties and the Italian dishes, not to count a large number of menu specials. In the end we settled for a seabass with clams and mussels (fantastic) and sweetbreads (wow!). It was a memorable night and we'll try to come back next time we arwe in the city, and if possible to catch the tango or salsa wnight and have great food and great fun. All in all, super recommended.
