Great little place. We enjoyed watching the man roll cigars. Gentlemen in there were very friendly and helpful. Has a good ventilation system so the smoke is not overwhelming. If you love cigars, definitely give this shop a try.
Pros: nice people
Cons: small

If you want the very best cigars you will find anywhere at any price, I recommend Martinez Cigars. It's small, it's loud, and one hell of a lot of fun. This is where the guys go for a great cigar and some great conversation, and you can watch these fantastic cigars being rolled right in front of you. This is the quintessential New York experience to be found nowhere else and I absolutely love it here. They should make a movie about this place. But let's not forget the cigars... I have yet to meet a person who has tried one of these cigars and not said they were one of the best cigars they have EVER smoked. period! And the most expensive cigar is $7!! This little factory is truly an unexploited gem. No cigar lover should come to New York City without making this place their first stop.
Pros: Great Cigars, Great Experience, Great Crowd
Cons: No Parking, Very Small

As a cigar love I was excited to check this place out. What a big disapointment. The store is very small and the room between the door to the street and the counter with cigars is about 3 feet deep by 6 feet wide. When I arrived there were 4 guys behind the counter (owners) all talking loud and filthy to two of their friends . There was absolutely no way for me to see the cigars as their friends were standing front of the display counter. When I asked if they could please move the owner said " You can see over them" When I asked about the different cigars, I receievd a short disinterested answer. I was desperate I bought 2 cigars and got the hell out. The cigars unraveled, burnt uneven and tasted of amonia. These were some of the worst cigars I have ever smoked.
Cons: Bad Service, Bad Cigars, Bad Attitude

I've walked by this street for years, and finally stopped in to get some cigars as gifts for friends. What a find, an unassuming little shop with some of the best hand-rolled cigars I've ever tasted. Plus the owners have kept the old style feel, in a cool little shop -- all the locals seem to come here.
