Great Apartment, very spacious
by johncruz72
I was born in New York and like to return often. Ours is a family of 4. Through the years we've done hotels, B&B, and private apartments. The past 2 trips has been our best loding experience. We used As You Like It and did.We will again. Our accomodation were exactly as described and terrific @ $275 a night for 4 people in a spacious, well maintained apartment. I think its as good as it gets. Thank you City Search!

This service lets you stay in a Manhattan apartment and live like a New Yorker during your visit.

In Short
As You Like It has access approximately 100 private Manhattan apartments at any given time. President Mona Sands procures her apartments mostly from part-time Manhattan residents. Other apartments are used for rental only. Several apartments are "hosted," meaning that guests have a private bedroom and bathroom in an inhabited apartment. Apartments are screened for cleanliness, comfort and safety; plus basic furniture and personal touches. Rates vary by apartment.
Easy Does It

Maybe we were just lucky. Found just what we wanted pretty easily. Contacted a few agencies. As You Like It got backed to us quickly with good options. Not easy for a family of 5 on a budget.
I reserved a 1 bedroom in the theatre district. Turned out to be a fine experience.
The description sent was to the letter accurate. Thought I'd pass the good news on.

the good news and the bad
by doc5367
I rented 2 NYC apts from them; not pricey and locations were terrific! Both non-doorman buildings, which is probably why they were affordable.
The apts. were seedy. The furniture was old and worn; cookware, dishes and blankets needed replacement a year ago. Basically, the apt. was clean, but the insides of the microwave and oven had gobs of hard grease that probably can't be removed. Some of the things didn't work too well, like a pole lamp where the switch came off when we tried to turn it on. It was funny, and we laughed a lot. For the money, I guess it's OK, because we shared the price. A hotel would be cleaner and safer, but probably three times more costly and not as spacious. It's a tradeoff.
- Pros: afforable, spacious, excellent location
- Cons: seedy furnishings, old grease in kitchen, very old linens
Honey Moon Near the Park
by tooexclusiv
Sometimes it's hard to make a decision where to stay. I want to thank city search for making it easier for me. We wanted something really pretty and romantic As You Like It reserved an apartment with a wonderful view near Central Park. Grace at the office was really helpful and the apartment was perfect for our honeymoon stay.
