The company is a total sham--just takes your money and doesn't perform. I wish I had visited this site first, because the experience of all the others with negative ratings exactly mirror mine. The people were lovely--the representatives on the phone, the guy they sent to clean. Unfortunately, nice though they all were at first, the guy wound up staying twice as long as we booked him for, did a poor job with what he did clean, and didn't clean much! The apartment was empty and could have taken any able bodied person 3 hours max to clean (I know; I wound up having to do it myself at 9 months pregnant). When my husband and I got back to the apartment after 8 hours, the guy refused to tell us what he had cleaned and walked out instead, telling us he wasn't going to be second-guessed and we could not pay him (yeah right--the company had my credit card number for the reservation!). I called the supervisor, who made an appointment with me to come verify that the work was never done, and the supervisor never showed up! About a week later, I received one call from David, who I believe is the owner of the company, which I couldn't respond to right away because I went into labor just after he called, and by the time I got out of the hospital, they charged my card, though I had directed them not to after the supervisor failed to show for the review. When I called to follow up the day after getting out of the hospital, David told me he would look into the situation, and thereafter, failed to follow up with me (instead having another employee call to inform me that a letter refusing to refund my money would be forthcoming). When I called back, he hung up the phone on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY; they will rip you off. Clearly, this is their business model.

Do not give these people your credit card. I have been auto-charged for over 12 hours of cleaning when it looked as if no one had been here to clean at all. Trying to resolve billing issues is IMPOSSIBLE. This is all besides the fact that they do a VERY poor job of cleaning.

Was moved to write after reading the last entry. I hired Imacuclean for a similar job after reading such glowing reviews on Citysearch. Exact same scenario. They are incompetent and when you complain (which -- even if you are a bit of a pushover, like, say, me -- you WILL do after they do SUCH a poor job) they will eat up all your time with endless "can so and so call you back." When you get to the boss, Richard, he will express shock. I don't know if they're crooks or just bad at their jobs.

I have never come across a more dishonest cleaning service in my life. The guy that cleaned the apartment was very nice and helpful, however, the job that was done was very poor. The apartment was completely empty and I asked that everything be scrubbed down. I had hired him for four hours, so this should not have been a problem. When I came home, it initially looked and smelled clean. I paid and tipped him. Upon examining the apartment, I realized that it was not clean and what I had asked had not been done at all. He came back for an hour redo after which the job was still not done as had been originally promised. Upon complaining, they told me that they would reduce my bill, but still charged my account for the original amount. After calling numerous times, they told me to find another cleaning service because they were not refunding my money. Please, whatever you do, do not use Imacuclean!

Pros: The housekeeper was a very nice guy.

Cons: Didn't clean to the standards that I think is clean.

I discovered Citysearch after I fought hard to get my money back from this company! First off: the cleaning was wonderful! She cleaned every nook and cranny in my apartment. Great job. I had to give her the cleaning supplies though. Unfortunately, that is all the good I have to say. I was TRIPLE BILLED by this service (many postings allude to this) and fought tooth and nail to get my money back. I called DAILY for 2 months (after changing my bank / credit card information) and was lucky enough to get the owner on the phone when I threatened to take them to court. After speaking to the owner (customer service - if you want to call it that - was terrible!), I received my check in 2 hours (I went down to pick it up!). Not worth the trouble at all.

These other reviewers must be a little crazy. I called up Imacuclean to do a simple cleaning on my 2 bedroom apartment. They went way above and beyond. It was a fantastic job and my apartment has never looked any better. They were friendly and helpful. The cleaner even helped me move a heavy couch. I can't say enough great things about the entire experience. thank you!!!!

I had read reviews for Imacuclean prior to hiring them and saw that they had a tendency to double-charge people. At least those people were eventually reimbursed. I called them immediately after the overcharge, they admitted their mistake and promised to send out a check right away for the difference. That was two months ago. After many irritating phone calls to them I'm completely out of patience. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Imacuclean. They obviously run a completely shady business.

Cons: Rude, irresponsible, not trustworthy

Don't bother. The incompetent office staff will send people at the wrong, time, forget about bookings. Unreliable and when they err, they're rude.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The two people who came really knew what they were doing. My house needed a great deal of work and it was handled professionally and efficiently. I would highly recommend Imacuclean. No wonder they have been in business for 58 years!

I scheduled an apt for very specific cleaning about a month in advance. I took the day of work to be at the apt for the cleaning, since I had never used the service before. The day before, I called to confirm my apt and no issues were noted. On the day of the service, 9am rolled around (scheduled apt time) and no one had arrived. At 9:15am, I called to follow up and was told I would get a call back. After not hearing back, I called again at 10am and they still didn't know where the individual was who supposed to clean my apt. At 10:20am, the individual arrived to clean my apt with empty hands. Not only was he over an hour late, but he brought nothing to clean the apt. He mentioned that I was supposed to let them know when I scheduled the appointment that I needed them to provide cleaning supplies. Don't you think this is something they should ask when scheduling the appointment? I have used several cleaning services in the past and never provided my own cleaning supplies (espeically not without being asked). What a waste of a morning :(
