they are the best because they take you out to real NY bars to work at while you are still a student. Nobody else offers that. Their job office is very impressive, their price is the cheapest, and I felt they were the most honest and legit.

training at other schools is "like training behind a real bar", but training at Authentic IS training behind real bars. And Authentic is fully licensed by NY state. And they have real job placement(I'm working at Jeckle & Hyde, making good money), not re-cycled newspaper ads. There's only one Authentic school in NY as far as I'm concerned, and they don't charge you for all their hype. Their price is the best available.

Pros: real training in real bars! No lies on their website or in their offices. Best price

Cons: nothing. totally satisfied.

ONLY school where part of the training takes place at real bars. You work next to your instructor, waiting on real customers, and that's something that no amount of classroom hours can compare with

just passed my exams, and I'm into the rsume/job placement process. What a great program--fun, informative, and well-organized. I already have experience behind a few bars thanx to Authentic's "on the job training" program, and I'm ready and confident

I've dreamed of learing to bartend ever since I was 16. I FINALLY had the time to go 2 summers ago. I searched around, and asked around, and visted different bartending schools here in NYC, and decided to go with Authentic Bartending School. They are the best priced, they looked to be very professional, and they are the only ones that didn't PUSH me to sign up, and they offer life time support. You can take the classes as much as you need, you can take refresher courses at any time, you can come and practice, practice, practice as much as you'd like. And there's always a counselor willing and ready to help you with any questions you may have. I LOVED every class, and every day that I had at Authentic. My favorite instructor was Adrienne, so was AWESOME. The instructors are bartenders themselves, and I feel that adds such flavor to the course. They gave us real life examples in class, I loved that. Today, I am enjoying bartending, and miss going to class at Authentic. It was so much more than I could have ever expected or dreamed of a bartending class. I was very nervous but very excited about learing to bartend, and Authentic made it that much more of a wonderful memory for me.

Got pulled out of class today to go right up to Nacho Mamas to start working! They have the best job placement at Authentic, and this proves it. And I'm a member of Authentic for life now, with free refresher programs, repeat job placement, and TIPS renewal, all free! And when they say for life, they have been around for thirty something years. Their not going anywhere. Don't get ripped off by all the imitators. Authentic is the BEST

Pros: didn't tell me how great they are. Just delivered.

this is the only school I saw with a real job placement department, and they had the best rep and atmosphere.How can anyone go somewhere else for more $$ with whats out there? One place I saw asked for my credit card before I even settled into the chair, and another place had a free demonstration full of ringers. where they tried to sell me a fifteen-dollar mixing set for a hundred bucks!! Another school had exactly one employee doing everything in the school, teaching, answering phones, signing up people, all at once, and it was dirty too. So I came here and its great. They have a lot of bar contacts and I had the time of my life waiting on real customers a couple nights a week with my fellow students. I didn't even graduate yet and I already worked a wedding reception and a gallery opening for great $$ thanks to the job placement staff. And the classes and the drills are fun and effective. Best choice out there!!!

I came to Authentic after dropping the different schools names at bars and clubs. All the managers and bartenders had great things to say about them, not so with the other schools. A lot of the bartenders were Authentic grads!

I went to all the NY schools to compare, and I called the state education department. If you do the same and compare how you are treated when you visit, and look at the sample classes and compare the job placement services and the prices and the reputations and all the programs that all the different schools offer, there's only one selection that makes any sense: AUTHENTIC. After picking them and going through their program, I can say that their name is earned. Theirs is the only school that is going to do for you what they say they are going to do. They did for me! They are the BEST! Everyone out in the industry was right.

got hired my first day out, at 86th st. billiards, and all the training was right on the money. You did a great job with my resume and gave me confidence. I will tell everyone how much I liked the class.
