We went Sharaku and had Shab Shab for two.
It was a nice and hot meal to keep us warm in a cold windy day. This is also a great place for Sushi for most occasions, The food is not pricey. Recommended.
It's a great place that I would recommend to everyone !

This a great place for Sushi for most occasions, and the service is terrific!! The Japanese speaking waiter was extremely attentative and food is fresh. The Lemon Hi drinks , and the Shabu Shabu are a most have! Mix crowd and prices are reasonable.
- Pros: Food
For anyone looking for good sushi at reasonable prices!

We have gone here numerous times in the past but only in recent years The atmosphere is pretty casual but works well for dates or groups. I like how you get a nice cut of sushi and a delicious rice that is where you are getting your money's worth. You will feel you are getting fresh Sushi at a reasonable price. I'd recommend it for the quality and the good pricing.
- Pros: Sushi, the atmosphere
My ffavorite Japanese restaurant

Whenever comes to sushi, Sharaku is my only choice. I started my sushi with Sharaku more than 10 years ago from a second floor place to a street level restaurent. The place is spacious and the food is so superb as well as the chefs and waitresses. Come taste it.
- Pros: Cheap but good food
Great food, great place and always friendly service.

Have been here for a long time. Premises are clean. There are two stories and nice view from second floor dinning room. Servers are always polite and pleasant .
Portions are generous, prices are good and food quality rivals any other sushi place in neighborhood . To get better sushi, you'll have to go to one of those fancy places and expect to spend your paycheck in one sitting. This is one of her favorite places for roll sushi. Their spicy tuna sushi is the Best!
- Pros: Food Price
The service is terrific!

I had never heard of this place before until I recently went with a friend. Though It was Monday night, it was pretty busy. The sushi plate called Village jumbo sushi was HUGE, Had a Roll combo that came with three vegetable rolls. The waiters were ( not Japanese ) were friendly and gave us such a great service. All in all, would definitely go back for cheap eats.
- Pros: Sushi, the service
I LOVE the place !

Sharaku offers affordable Japanese food for the poor students in New York.
Monday Night Special is really a good deal.
You can have some sushi and a half portion of noodle dish.
My favorite is " Chicken Sharaku", I am so addicted to it !
- Pros: Price, Location, Service
HIGHLY recommend

Sharaku easily takes my vote as the best Sushi in East Village, not an easy feat considering there are many competing restaurants in the area. The dishes are large and plentiful and the prices are cheap.
The ambiance is much nicer than other sushi places at competitive prices. The restaurant is very clean as well. Try out Sharaku, you'll be coming back for more! the donburi and udon they serve are tasty and very filling.
- Pros: Food, Price
Food is great and staff are so friendly
by NatsuUE9
Execited to eat at Sharaku every single time. Great food quality with genuinely friendly service. And if you take that quality into account, the prices are affordable and cheaper than many others in Manhattan. They have the best spicy tuna ever!
- Pros: Food, staff and location
For anyone looking for good sushi at reasonable prices!

I love this place. I've been dining at Sharaku for over a decade, just straight up fresh sushi. Portions are generous and prices are more than fair. Sharaku also accomodates those planning to eat in. The service is fairly ordinary although food usually arrives relatively quickly. Big on ambience and if you want some straight up terrific sushi or teriyaki this is the place. Very moderately priced as well.
- Pros: Sushi
