Unfriendly staff and owner
by rachel00
The only thing that good in this place is the free internet ,unfriendly staff, i asked for a hot coffee and she gave me a cold coffee, i was there early in the morning and i think the owner had a bad early day, and she is extremely rude, too bad coz it really accessible to me because i work in the area, but i will bring my bussines somewhere else, its not a good environment if you will bring your friends from out of town.
Best Breakfast of NYC!!!!
by reyny
Nothing else to say, it is worth going to have breakfast to this place regardless of what part of the city you stay.
Very affordable too!
Crowded with college kids, no seats ,no air.
by mohctep
Bunch of college kids doing their homework. Have you been to Starbucks?
Well this is the same thing with better coffee and food.
If you're wearing your Converse keds today head there for a cup of coffee and a look at a bunch of shemales in their sweats.
If you expecting a comfortable place for brunch or coffee avoid this hole in a wall just like you are avoiding Starbucks.
- Pros: Desent menu of cheap food
- Cons: Always corwded with a bunch of kids who just fell out of bed
avoid the non-fruity shakes/smoothies

I will NEVER get the cappuccino shake again!! I had this delivered, and all I get for freakin $6 is a HALF filled cup with undrinkable content. Infact I didn't even finish a quarter of it! I was so annoyed that I called the cafe to express my dismay. What a waste of $. I also ordered the chicken and mushroom sandwich, which was not as disappointing as the milk shake, but tasteless nonetheless! chicken was hard to chew and there was hardly any seasoning. Very disappointed with the food, but somehow, I'm keen on trying other stuff on the menu! Not willing to give up yet :)
- Pros: extensive menu
- Cons: bad milkshakes
Quick and healthy bite
by nycgirl171
Best place to go when you're in a rush but dont want the typical "fast food". Good salads and hot sandwiches. Really good spilt pea soup and lox bagel platter. Quick, reasonably priced, lots of options... always seem to go back. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.
- Pros: Prices, options, speed
- Cons: sometimes the pasta sauces are a little too watery

Simply the Best Breakfast in NYC
by dkahn
This place simply has the best breakfast in NYC period! They have a huge menu and it's sometimes hard to choose but everything is great. Not only is the food great, but the prices are just hard to imagine. Where else can you order a HUGE Omlete, coffee, and fresh oj for less than $10? I live in the area and can't get tired of their menu. I would definatly recommend trying everything (just not at one time lol). Not only is their breakfast great but their lunch paninis, salads, and soups are very good as well. The only complaint I would have is that my favorite spot gets way too busy on the weekend so I usually just order a delivery.
- Pros: Excellent Food, Huge Menu, Free Wifi,
- Cons: Sometimes gets crowded on weekends but I live close enought that they deliver
Critter Motel or Coffee Bar?
by zazzyzu
One reason to avoid this coffee joint...the unwanted little critters! Like the scones and the iced teas, but not worth the health risk. Food is below average. I only go to this joint when my internet is down and I need a place to hook up for free. Don't leave your bag on the floor, you may come home with a little friend.
- Pros: Free internet
- Cons: below average food
Best Soups in the City
by lawboy89
The soups are amazing and the coffee is great. Service is quick and friendly. I would def recommend it to anyone.
- Pros: Food and drinks are awesome
- Cons: Can get very busy
Slow service, incorrect order, bad smoothie
by skryche
I got to the front of the line to order. The cashier asked me what I'd like, but didn't bother to write it down. He left for five minutes (before I even had a chance to pay), then he came back to the register and asked me to repeat my order. This time he took minimal notes.
When the food came to my table, my order was unsurprisingly incorrect. And the mango smoothie I had ordered was watery and flavorless, with barely a hint of mango.
Why is this place so popular?
