Greatest Colonic with Cher

by Jules London

I've had mulitple colonics with Cher and she's very gifted. She gives the best stomach massage during the treatment to help faciliate a great release. I feel comfortable and relaxed with her and her knowledge of the digestive track is impressive. She has yrs of experience, which is what I want with this kind of delicate treatment. AND the colonic room is CLEAN which is important. I've had colonics elsewhere and Cher is the best.

  • Pros: colonics with Cher

Authentic Day Spa

by CookieFeet

Health Oriented Holistic Spa, Re-educated me on the correct way to live my life to the fullest. I googled detox spa and this business popped up, after booking my appointment for a Day of Detox, which I really needed after the bbq festival, I was surprised to find they had real answers for all of my questions. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by a very helpful Young lady at the front desk who got me a glass of tea for free! Talk about service! The spa was so relaxing! Real Bamboo Trees and flowers everywhere, I was a little early so I picked up some brochures and decided to get a " Pedi-Detox" they called it. THIS WAS THE MOST REVEALING DETOX TREATMENT IN THE WHOLE WORLD! The water from the foot bath is ionized and pulls toxins out of your feet!? It turned this dark orange and had red and black flecks in it, Totally disgusting! The lady said that it was toxins and heavy metals from my joints and arteries, as well as my lungs (because Im a smoker) I was blown away! YOU HAVE TO GET THIS! I continued on with the rest of my Day of Detox which was lovely. Colonics are not as scary as they seem, I had my first one here with Cher, a 16 year professional. Over all Delightful, This has taken my health to a whole new level of PURE. Im going to be the president of the LA CASA DAY SPA fan club For Eternity!

  • Pros: Beautiful Decor, Pure Air
  • Cons: Not a regular salon, no pedicures or Manicures

Complete Relaxation!!

by boxer18

Both my daughter and I have visited this spa for services several times over the past few years and we have never been disappointed. We have consistently walked into the spa and immediately felt like we were in the tropics. We have always been greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable and at home with some herbal tea. Greg the manager and staff have always been flexible and eager to accommodate and please.

I have felt the stress immediately leave my body when I walk through the door. We have both experienced several different massage therapists and they have all been terrific!!

Dr. Jane Goldberg the owner does extensive research and is always adding cutting edge treatments. I recently tried the pedi-detox and was amazed to see all the toxins that were released.

Try this spa you will not be disappointed and you can feel comfortable knowing that all the treatments are well researched, have great benefits and totally reduce stress.

  • Pros: Wonderful atmosphere, great massage, cutting edge treatments

Holistic Serenity at its Finest!

by Rosiecoolkicks

After visiting other day spas and being disappointed, I found a beautiful exotic rain forest retreat right off Park ave in the center of toxic NYC! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with the aroma of vanilla rainstorms! I found out later that it was the activated oxygen from the steam bath that blessed my lungs with pure o3! I felt like the center of attention as my delightful Colon therapist Sharon walked me through what would of been an awkward situation, educating me to the fullest extent, receiving relaxing massage through out my whole cleansing. I followed with a Flotation that took my meditation to an other level where I could FLY. The 800lbs Epsom salt saturated bath water actually cured my sunburn relieving all irritation from its naturally healing powers! My life has been changed from this NYC oasis! I've become a lifer! THANKS LA CASA!

  • Pros: Detoxification Dream! Vanilla scented excape!
  • Cons: Emphasis on health and relaxation

best day since I moved to NYC

by SidneyM00

We went together for the Day of Detox. I am trying to quit smoking - and decided that a good detox might help. From the first phone contact we made with the spa, we were expertly advised on what treatments would be best. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the spa. It is filled with plants - and has a nice relaxing out-doorsey feel to it - a welcome relief to the urban-ness of NYC. My friend and I passed each other perdiocally - as we moved around - from therapy to therapy. then we re-met in the reception room to do what they call the pedi-detox -- which is a detox through the pores of the feet. now that was kind of scarey. by the time I was finished with that treatment, the water my feet was immersed in was almost totally black. My friend's water was much lighter. they explained to me that the darkness of my water indicated a lot of toxicity (well -duh - I am a smoker). OK - if that isn't compelling evidence that I need to quit smoking, I don't know what will be. the whole day was really quite wonderful. I loved the therapists I had. loved the staff. mind you - this is not a spa for everyone - it is not glitzy and glittery and definitely not corporate. if you want fancy with stainless steel and monochromatic colors, go to another spa. but if you want great service, profound therapies, a real sense of doing something amazing for yourself - then go to La Casa Day Spa.

  • Pros: went with friend - very friend-friendly place

best miracle place for healing in NYC

by Ambiance

I went with my friend. it was a random choice. we signed up for the Day of Detox - and detox is exactly what we did. what amazing detox therapies we had. half the time, we weren't even sure what we were doing - at least in the beginning - until the various staff people explained - why what we were doing was going to work - and the real scienfitic principles and research behind all the therapies. Apparently the owner - Dr. Jane Goldberg - is a research freak - and has thoroughly researched all aspects of holistic healing. The spa reflects her knowledge and expertise. I have become a true believer. I felt lighter, almost weighless when I walked out the doors. Have decided to make this a regular part of my health maintenance routine. the spa itself looked like a graden -and had a lovely ambiance to it.

  • Pros: expert knowledgeable staff
  • Cons: up one flight

Outdated décor & Dirty!!

by CSMobileUser2

When I first walked in the place smelled like am old mom & pops place, however my boyfriend and I brushed that off! We were there for colonics and floats, I went first to do my float, one, they ask you to use sponges that a million other people use...of course I did not! Second, the float area looked very rusty around certain areas and the water was cold & looked like it wasn't changed at all! Third, my boyfriend waited for his colonic by reception where a ups guy, and other people came in...he had on just a robe!! Everything seemed very unclean to me, I wish we listened to some of the reviews for I now have a rash on my arm. Please DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

Great Colonic w/Sharon Stone

by Gingersnap

I'd had a colonic at another place that had not been pleasant. I was fairly certain didn't care to try again, until a friend made me promise to go see Sharon. I can only say that I wish I'd gone to see her sooner. Sharon suggested that we proceed as though it was my first time. First she explained the entire procedure to me, thoroughly and with gentle good humor, even anticipating the questions I felt a little shy to ask. Her manner was so caring, thorough, kind and professional, that I began to realize I was in good, knowledgeable hands and felt myself start to relax. When we proceeded to the actual colonic, Sharon's therapeutic touch helped me through the procedure. She kept up a gentle conversation, reminding me when to breath, and educating me about my body, and opening my mind to thinking about incorporating nutritional changes into my everyday life. The last establishment I had visited pushed me to buy all sorts of supplements that I wasn't sure I needed. Sharon's "less is more" approach felt more right for me. I have returned for two more sessions, followed her advice about simple sensible approaches to food, and lifestyle, and have experienced real and positive changes in how my colon functions, not to mention my skin looking more clear and vibrant. I plan to bring my mother with me to see Sharon the next time. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with her as soon as you can! I'll never go to anyone else.

  • Pros: Great Therapist

Bad Colonic

by nyccitybabe

When I was looking for the best colonic in NYC, I came across La Casa. So I expected good service. However, my therapist not only came in late, she wasn't friendly, and rushed me for her next client. After going elsewhere, I would never come back here.

Ear Infection---Do not take antibiotics!! Take ozone!

by KeshaZ

I woke up at 4 a.m. with serious discomfort in my ear. Actually, it was more like serious itching. I had never had an ear infection or any ear problem in my life so what could this be? Thoughts of trying to find a doctor and paying outrageous bills were racing through my mind. I don't have insurance. It's a double edged sword because it is a major hindrance when I really need a doctor, but on the other hand it keeps me away from them! I googled my symptoms and realized it was swimmer's ear?funny I barely swim. The cause is bacteria and fungi. Of course everything online says to treat swimmer's ear with antibiotics. I ran across just a few homeopathic remedies one of which called for drops of equal parts rubbing alcohol and acetic acid (plain vinegar). But first I called La Casa because they are one of the few places that offer ozone. They informed me that ozone kills germs-perfect for nasty ear bacteria. I did a 15 minute treatment and immediately I felt much better. The itchiness was gone. It did come back, but not for another ten hours or so and never as intense as the night before. The next day I did the homeopathic drops twice and the third day another 15 minutes of ozone to get rid of any last bacteria. My ear is back to normal, no itching and when I press on it no tenderness. I don't know if the ozone alone was responsible for my recovery but it did provide instant relief. The ozone combined with the drops was 100% effective. No hassle, no antibiotics, no doctor's fees?..just cheap, fast and easy!

  • Pros: The treatment itself
  • Cons: none
