i literally joined this site, just to leave a good review here for the haters. they're simply direct, and to the point with their clients which saves time for everyone. for those who think 150 an hour is pricey, go to ur local spot and get a sleeve done for 50 bux and see how well its done. :P stephanie tamez did my first tatt, and i fully plan on going back to NYA for more work from her. i booked it and had a consultation with her at NYSA but got the tatt done at the brooklyn NYA2 before its grand opening, which is a total honor! stephanie walked me through the process and freehanded something that makes me happy every time i see it. and she covered the top half of my back in less than 2 hours. thank you! AND her advice on aftercare is the best i've heard and it healed perfectly (not a single scab or other problem) in about 10 days.
Pros: quality, cost, aftercare, hours, consultation , patience
Cons: the wait! but its worth it :)

I had my first ever piercings - earlobes - today at the age of twenty-one. Danielle, who pierced me, made me feel really at ease, as did all the other people working there. The jewelry is very pretty (although expensive) and everything was very clean. I felt really comfortable and am glad I chose to have my ears needle-pierced instead of pierced by a gun. Highly recommended!

I had my first piercing by Colby and he was great. For being a pretty sensitive area he made me extremely comfortable and has a very soothing way about him. He's completely in-tune with his work and looks for perfection in the positioning and making sure you are happy. All of the staff was extremely helpful and very nice as well, not pretentious or trying to pressure anyone into anything or working with a do it now or get out mentality. They also want to make you comfortable in the setting and that feels reassuring, and it has such a great vibe. I can't recommend them enough and I will definitely go back to get more done there.
Pros: great staff, great technicians, clean shop, friendly and courteous
Cons: none

Went to the ny adorned manhattan location for a pretty old school tattoo with daniel santoro, based on a recommendation from a friend. i was not disappointed! he was really sweet and funny unlike alot of artists at the shop and the city in general. will def. be going back and sending my friends.
Pros: great tattoo artist, nice assistants, amazing work!
Cons: pricey (you get what you pay for!), weird, unattractive shop

I had such a wonderful experience getting my monroe pierced by Danielle at New York Adorned! I am not new to piercings or tattoos (I have double standards in both ears, navel, nose and a VCH and three tatoos) but I was still nervous! The shop is very clean and they are patient when it comes to explaining procedure. Danielle was very professional and I would tell any and everybody to get pierced by an artist of this caliber. None of the employees gave off the "you are not cool because you are not pierced and tatt'ed everywhere" attitude. One of my best friends and I went and we both decided after the experience I had to go back and get tattoos. Not matching. Overall: -Good Service -Approchable Artists -Resonably Priced -Clean facilities -Informational Website
Pros: great space, gave the right information
Cons: none!

I had my first body piercings done there and it was a big step but once there I had no anxiety, very polite staff and very patient. DANIELLE is great and makes you feel calm. I recommend this shop 100% They obey all health codes to the max and they have closed rooms for privacy.
Pros: clean , polite, private and skilled
Cons: a little pricey for initial rings but the service makes up for that

I received my first tattoo by Daniel on Friday, and I couldn't be happier. I did a great deal of research before deciding on a place to go, and the general consensus seemed to be that NY Adorned costs a bit more, but for very good reason. I walked in to make an appointment, and the tattoo assistant was extraordinarily helpful in helping me choose an artist, and she was very thorough about getting a description for my custom design. When I went in for my appointment, Daniel was extremely friendly and helpful, and he drew up a design that was exactly as I'd envisioned it. He was amiable and made me feel really comfortable, seeing as it was my first tattoo. He took his time, and he described to me ahead of time what he was going to do. Not only did he do a PHENOMENAL job, he also thoroughly explained to me how to care for it, and left me the option to come in after it's all healed so he can check up on it. The tattoo itself took maybe an hour and a half, and cost $200, which I was more than willing to pay. The lines are clean, the details perfect, and the shading is gorgeous. I've been to plenty of places with friends, and their service wasn't nearly as helpful or friendly, and the work certainly not on par with this (you get what you pay for). I give this place, and Daniel, the highest recommendation. I could not be happier with my experience. Also, if you're looking for quality jewelry, they have some beautiful stuff there -- I'd go back just for that! Oh yeah, and tattoos and tattoo deposits are cash only (so bring plenty).
Pros: Great customer service, everyone is knowledgable, great skill, extremely friendly and helpful

I did extensive research and visited the other 'top' piercing places before deciding on NY Adorned- it is clearly the best place in the city. Friendly, not pretentious or daunting, and very professional. They do spore testing every week (as opposed to every month- as per the other 'top' places), very clean, professional, friendly and they take piercings seriously and as an art form- as they should be. Thoroughly recommended.
Pros: Professional, clean, friendly
Cons: none

To preface this, I am not a hard core piercing type, prior to this experiance I had only pierced ears. But, I do have a serious scientific/medical background and so can evaluate from that standpoint, which is important when you are talking about basically having a perfectly done little micro-surgery. It requires a great deal of skill and knowledge of wound healing, scar tissue formation etc. THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT!!!!!! Every parent should only allow ear piercing to happen at a place like this. The average MD will not have the necessary experiance in wound healing etc. or knowledge of techniques and needless to say, the safety and sterilization is exactly what would be found at any hospital. My piercing was quick, low pain and Tyler expalined everything, was very professional yet friendly and warm and put me completely at ease. They explained aftercare and gave me written information. I was really dizzy afterwards from getting myself so nervous (for something much easier than I imagined) and they were very very nice about getting me some candy and a place to lay down. The comment that another reviewer made about the staff being nice and free of rude "attitude" of some tattoo/piercing places is very true- they clearly are very serious about what they do and not just acting cool and superior. I would have liked to have more of a selection of gold barbells, but they were very helpful about ordering them etc. Ultimatly, its about the piercing and jewlery can be ordered or changed later. This is clearly a place at the top of the art and science of their field.
Pros: superb knowledge and skill, amazing environment, zen accepting attitude
Cons: maybe not cheap (but save money on groceries, not piercings!!)

I went there to get a piercing. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice, informative and knowledgable. She was a huge help in picking out jewelry and answering all my questions. My piercer, Tyler, was also very nice and did a great job. The whole process is very sanitary, he opened new instruments in front of me and he changed his gloves several times during the whole thing. The prices were reasonable, especially for the level of professionalism, which definitely takes a lot of stress out of the process.
Pros: friendly, knowledgable, professional
