I recently moved and hired New York's Little Elves to clean my newly renovated house and help unpack the myriad of boxes that stored everything from wedding crystal to kids toys, my family's clothes and my coveted handbags & shoes. The receptionist who took my call was very pleasant, and informative. The instant the crew arrived, they asked where I would like the items to be stored and started working. After a few days, all boxes (about 50) were unpacked and folded away, the kitchen cabinets fully stocked, clothes and shoes in their places and the house wonderfully clean. They even hand-washed my wedding china. I highly recommend their cleaning services. Evelyn

I was very excited to use this cleaning service as I had seen and read several TV & News magazines that gave it exceptional feedback. Unfortunately, unless they're doing a PR piece for themselves in your apartment, one can not expect the same exceptional experience. The maid they sent didn't speak enough English for me to communicate with her, without a lot of “charades" type effort. She grumbled the moment she arrived about the state of apartment. She left the trash bags in front of my apartment instead of the obvious designated area on the side street. The cleaning job, while adequate was not thorough like I had read about. Dust in corners, under the bed, shreds of used paper towel in the refrigerator, etc. The woman who answered the phones sounded scattered and unprofessional: She said that she would call back with their availability, then didn't, asked for my credit card information twice, promised a window cleaning service would contact me, that didn't and she never followed up on how the woman did and if I was satisfied. The kicker was that they cost, almost three times what Miracle Maids charged me to clean my apartment this past February. $306 vs. $128 for the same job! My suggestion: Save yourself the frustration & money and hire another cleaning service.
Pros: The "thrill" of using a service (wrongly) endorsed by NY Magazine, NY Post, etc
Cons: The poor and expensive outcome of using them.

I've used little elves for their cleaning services before, and they came very highly recommended by a coworker. let me be clear: i work for an interior design company, and we contracted their services for 3 days to clean before the owners moved back in after extensive renovations. they (barbara is my contact there) were extremely helpful, even going above and beyond to make sure that the client's needs were met and their schedule was open in case we needed them for additional cleaning hours. in addition, they called to confirm everything the day before, they sent over revised invoices with infinite patience after the client changed their mind multiple times, and the cleaning crew was extremely professional. i was on site myself and saw the job that they did, and it was nothing short of fantastic. so, i dont know who those other reviewers spoke to, or what happeend, but in my experience they are absolutely A+ and easy to work with. if only all our subcontractors were so great.

I have never had a more bizarre experience in my life. Being a former house cleaner myself i can tell you its not an easy job so when i hire someone i make it as nice and easy for them as possible, offering water, tea, coffee, a snack, music, cleaning products, etc. When I called LIttle Elves I was not making a lot of money, but needed my home professionaly cleaned as I am about to sublet it. I specified I needed a cleaner who would do an excllent, efficient job. Of course they said "all of our cleaners are excellent". So when the cleaner showed up, I stayed for an hour, offered her water, tea, cookies, etc, showed her my list of things to do. She called the agency and they translated into English what I asked for on my list. She said it seemed she could do all of it, no problem. I ran out for 10 minutes to get cash to pay her. On my way back, Little Elves called and told me (AND I QUOTE) "your place is too filthy for her to clean it".[First of all this place is FAR FAR from filthy-and how unprofeesional is that?] I said "I've been a house cleaner myself and this place is FAR from Flithy". ( It needed some cleaning but hello--isnt that YOUR JOB?). Her response? "THEN CLEAN IT YOURSELF CUZ WE AREN"T DOING IT". What in GODS NAME kind of business are these people running? I came home to find an over heated woman with head in her hands. I gave her asprin and more cold water. She apologized and left my place in ruins. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE> GOD KNOWS WHY THEY ARE IN BUSINESS?!!!!!I"m reporting this as many places as i can.
Pros: none
Cons: too many to mention.

I called to receive a quote for a client of mine and was rudely hung up on. I would not recommend calling this company. Obviously they don't want business. I kindly asked what her name was for my records and she hung up on me. I called back and asked why I was hung up on and they put me on hold and then hung up again. Very RUDE.
