Fast and Friendly Professional Service

they gave me great advice for a kink in my 35mm SLR and fixed the warped case for my digital camera in a timely and professional manner. i was about to head to vacation and they rushed my quote without any complaints (a rarity in NYC!) would definitely go back and recommend friends!

Superb Service

Canon SD1100IS had a big spot on zoomed photos. Dropped it off at Photo Tech on Saturday, got it back on Tuesday. The camera works perfectly, and the fix cost zero, because Photo Tech is an authorized Canon service center.

The staff there couldn't be nicer, more respectful or more helpful. Kudos all around!

Charged me 100$ for work I didn't approve - UPDATED

Brought in my 35mm for a prism/viewfinder problem and was assured repeatedly that I would be called to 1) receive the estimate 2) discuss what the issue was with the camera and 3) agree to estimate and authorize the work to be done. None of this ever happened of course and I received a call three days after I was told I would get called back. Basically the repairman took upon himself to clean the prism and do over 100$ in labor to fix a problem that wasn't even affecting my pictures. After speaking to the owner the price was only knocked down $20 even though the process they took with this was a breach of the contract I signed when I gave them my camera. If you want to get swindled in crappy economic times, then by all means go to Phototech and cross your fingers that they will actually tell you before they do over 100$ worth of work on your camera.

I love it here

I dropped my camera in the subway and someone kicked it into the all last week. Yeah, not smart. I figured it was done...never to work again. But it turned out to only have a cracked lense. the people at the store were so helpful and I had a new lense in no time. I hope it never happens again, but if it does, I'll go back.

Great Place to get your camera fixed!

I went on vacation and my friend dropped my camera while open and in the sand. needless to say it stopped working and couldnt close the view finder. Brought my camera to photo tech and explained the problem. Also, i was kind of on a tight time schedule as i was due to go to a wedding the next week. I dropped it off in the morning and two days later it was fixed! and now it works like it is brand new. I also got an impact case from them which helps with the dropping issue. All around great job, totally convenient location, and really nice staff. I highly reccommend Photo Tech.

Photo Tech Saved the Day

I had an important shoot and on the day of the shoot I was having an issue with my camera and thank God I came across Photo Tech. They saved my day because at Photo Tech you can actually take your camera in for repairs and they rent you with a high quality professional camera so you don't even miss a step in your work. Thank you so much and I look forward to working with you in the future.
