A favorite stop for us after work. We enjoy the ice cold Guiness on tap and the hot wings. This is a great place for a large group to enjoy relaxing after a hard day at the office.

Reserved a party here thurs night in the living room area. Great space and affordable drinks; however the experience was ruined by the nasty female bartenders serving the upstairs area. They were unwelcoming, unaccommodating, and actually forced us to leave the upstairs area at 10pm on a busy thursday night. I have never been treated so badly by supposedly "down to earth and friendly" staff. If you must come here stay downstairs where the bartenders are much more accommodating.

  • Pros: Cheap drinks, not crowded
  • Cons: Nasty bartenders upstairs

First, I am not a bot, but I work down in the Financial District and this place is my new jam for no-frills drinking and hanging out with friends. Went there last Friday (4/25) after work and enjoyed a few (lot) very affordable beers sitting @ the bar. In hindsight I really shouldn't be saying this, but whatever, whats a few more friends.

  • Pros: Cheap, plentiful Beer, about 1/100th as packed as Ulysses (although obviously much different)
  • Cons: Divebar, few, if any good looking people

I came here last Friday night with my wife after I took my wife for dinner for her birthday. We noticed this bar and we decided to check it out. Unlike Ulysses this place was perfect for relaxing in and not squashed like sardines as in Ulysses....The most memorable thing was the efficiency of the bartender,Johnny, who is from Dublin,Ireland. He literally went out his way ,when i mentioned my wifes birthday, and made her feel so special, she was so moved. One of the things he done was made up a cocktail for her,and he insisted on her naming the cocktail. She was so thrilled. He mentioned that it is mainly an after-work crowd, but he was going to build up a late night crowd himself. When i told him that i own a bar myself in Brooklyn,he mentioned all the ideas he was thinking of,from quiz nights to music nights.I just want to say that I think that this bar has a great potential to become more than just a lunch and afterwork bar.We ll be definately be back.

  • Pros: great night bartender, great value, very easy-going place to be.
  • Cons: no jukebox,no pool table/darts.

This is the best bar in the Wall st. area by far. I have been frequenting this place for well over a year and everything about this place is just what you need after work, or lunch for that matter. The pints are always flowing and the bartenders are always up for a good conversation.

During lunch, the wall opens up as a long hot bar full of beef wellington, chicken diablo, all sorts of roasted meats and sides. During lunch you'll rub elbows with wall street players and constructions workers alike. Later in the evening the bar still serves great good. Although it's bar food, don't let that stop you from ordering on the menu, where burgers, quesadillas, and sampler platters are aplenty. The kitchen now stays open until midnight as well which is a gigantic plus.

The upstairs was recently redone to give it a lounge feeling with sofas and comfy chairs, which is a plus. But it's still the first floor where this place shines with the authentic pub feel and atmosphere. Killarney also accepts credit cards for everything, a great idea for an unexpected happy hour.

The best part about this place though? That would definitely be Dave, the bartender who works the 6pm shift. He's a class act and sets the tone to make the evening great for everyone. If you want to have fun, head to Killarney for a few pints with some friends.

  • Pros: Price, Food, Pints, and Dave the bartender
  • Cons: It's an after work bar, so it closes at 2am and is usually dead on the weekends

You know that guy who can talk to everyone about anything, no matter how strange or unique their interests? Killarney Rose is that guy. Uptowner looking for a change of pace? Tourist trying to figure out where to go next? Look no further. The bartenders (and patrons) will be able to help. Stop in for a pint or some shots and you won't be disappointed. Don't look down your nose at the food, however; it's top notch, particularly for pub food. The kitchen is open late and you might be surprised at the how utterly reasonable the prices are.

In short, if you're hoping for some uptown overpriced "Irish" pub, Killarney Rose isn't for you. This place is nothing if it isn't authentic, and the drinks and food are absolutely fabulous, as are the pours. For those of us who live downtown, Killarney Rose is a blessing.

  • Pros: Location, service, music
  • Cons: Could stay open a bit later than 2am
