A Big Apple hotel for big business deals.

The Scene
A few blocks away from Wall Street, this hotel is perfectly located for downtown wheeling and dealing. It's not a surprise that the guests who stay here don't come to gawk at the Statue of Liberty--they come to try and buy it. The elegantly designed and Asian-inspired lobby boasts black and red pillars and a breathtaking stained-glass ceiling. The dramatic surroundings make up for the somewhat unhelpful staff.
The Details
The 497 rooms and suites underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation a few years ago. Not only do most have spectacular views of downtown Manhattan, they come with all the expected upscale amenities, including high-speed Internet access and minibars. You don't have to stray too far to sample some great local eats. Located on the premises, Roy's New York serves up spicy Asian fusion with flair.
Be wary of the air quality, but it's a nice hotel

Mixed signals from different staff members, everything is different each time you call the hotel and inquire about your reservation. Beware if you get the breakfast included rate... its only based on 2 per room. If you have more than 2 in your room, you will have to pay. Buffet breakfast was great thought. Rooms were gorgeous, bathrooms were beautiful, views spectacular. Watch out for the air quality though, with its surroundings and such.
- Pros: decor, breakfast, rates
- Cons: air quality, deliusional staff
The Best Views and Beds In Town!!!!!
by afoster
I have stayed here on many occasions and the service and rooms are impeccable.
the beds are are most comfartable beds I have ever slept on (even my own).
West Side Highway is open to traffic and the subway is only a few blocks away.
Tip: Ask for a a corner room on the Southwest side. You get an extra large room with lots of windows and views of the Hudson and the Statue of Liberty.
I reccomend this hotel to EVERYONE. And for you out of towners: Take a free ride on the Staten Island Ferry!!!
- Pros: Views, Beds, Service
- Cons: None
