Great deal!
by bqkalita
The pizza here is fabulous- I especially like the Neopolitan. Service is fast and friendly, and their pizza is consistently good! Prices are reasonable, especially for lunch specials. There is a large variety of pizzas to choose from, so try them all.
- Pros: great pizza, cheap, fast
Don't get excited.

We set out on a mission to find the only Chicago style pizza in NY. Considering Pizzeria Uno is a joke, this was our last hope. I mean the place is called Big Al's CHICAGO STYLE Pizza. Sorry to disappoint, but to them "Chicago Style" just means thick crust. That's it. I mean, it's tasty. The dough is soft. The sauce is great. Worth trying, but don't expect anything authentic. When we asked the counter clerk, "So is there ANYWHERE in this city to get real Chicago style pizza?" He said, "Oh you mean like that stuffed crust stuff? No. No way..." which means this is just like any other pizzeria on any other street corner with a name that lures people in for nothing. There's absolutely nothing special about it.
- Pros: The pizza's pretty tasty.
- Cons: It's a little dirty in there. False advertizing.
The Buffalo Chicken Is All You Need In Life
by BrettGarling
The buffalo chicken slice from this place is perfect - a true venus de milo of the buffalo chicken form. For all those working in the financial district who adore buffalo chicken in its various forms, come to Mecca for this slice.
- Pros: Slamming buffalo chicken.
- Cons: Stomach capacity issues.
Its so good, you have to talk about it.

Big Al's is the best pizza in Manhattan, for a pizzeria. Hands down. Between the service and the consistent quality, there is no where else to go. The Luciano slice is to die for, and Im not even Italian. Their Hawaiin version is even better. Its a 20 minute walk for lunch and well worth it.
- Pros: Consistent, Quality, pleasurable
- Cons: Pizzaria
