Go for the Clothes, Not the Atmosphere

Okay, look. The people on here who review this store take themselves WAY too seriously. You are going to a DISCOUNT DEPARTMENT STORE. If you want to find good clothes at good prices, EXPECT to push, shove, and yell. Do not go in expecting a nice shopping experience, you won't get it. But you MIGHT get a Marc Jacobs Collection Cashmere v-neck sweater (orig. 700 dollars) for $99. On clearance. Don't be afraid. Bargain shoppers can smell fear.

Good finds, but staff is TOO rude

It is true that they have a lot of stuff at discounted prices, but it sometimes feels that everything is simply trashy. I had to return an item I purchased and everyone was really rude. Actually, when I was paying for it originally, I got pretty muched bullied by the cashier. I usually don't mind the service, specially at a store where you interact for 10 seconds with the cashier, but this people where incredible. Sincerelly, for me it is not worth it.

Well I love the fact that there are so many things to choose from . Clothes,shoes,purses,watches oh my the list can go on forever. I love this store I can spend the whole day there searching thru the many items that's available "only if I didn't have a life lol" but overall the store is great and I love to shop here. I recommend anyone to just check it out the employees are really helpful and they try there best to assist with anything possiable. But I must say u must have patients.

Not a great secret

I was very disappointed when I began looking at the shoes then the women's clothing. Some of the shoes had been worn, clothing had holes and stains. I thought I had gone into a second hand store. After the initial shock I carefully looked and found a nice cashmere sweater for a great price.

Great Place

If you want to be catered to by staff please shop at barneys and sak's. You get what you pay for and this is a discount store. I cannot understand why these prissy up tight women are writing bad reviews. Where else are you going to get a Marc Jacobs bag for 149.99? So ladies really stop your belly aching and grow some thick skin. This is NYC you want polite shop in CT

NEVER again! Terrible service ruined it all

Today was ruined by my experience at this store.

We went to shop at 5:30pm, and stayed until closing. I shopped for over one hour in the shoe dept., finally finding two pair that I really liked. I took them with me to the clothing dept. and tried to pay for them with the clothes I wanted to purchase, just to be told by a very low-class, angry, unprofessional "manager" that I was NOT ALLOWED to purchase them unless the shoes were tagged separately. The boxes each described the shoes perfectly, yet this was not enough to warrant a sale. The manager inappropriately attempted to lecture me on the policy, as if it was posted everywhere and I just didn't see it. But the policies are NOT posted, and I wasted 3 hours at this store and left with nothing. I cannot believe I had to practically beg to be allowed to spend money!!

Dressing room staff treat customers like thieves in a prison, screaming rules every few minutes. While standing at the register waiting, waiting, I turned around to look at some tops hanging inches away from the line. I was then man-handled by a female security guard who told me to stop looking, that I needed to just stand at the register and wait, because it was not fair to the workers who were attempting to then fix the items hanging per their closing duties. No worker was around doing this, instead a group of them was a good 20 feet away, talking and laughing.

The whole experience was so stressful! I can't remember ever being treated so badly by a place where I am spending my money without need. I will NEVER step foot into these stores again. Terribly run business!

I used to be such a fan of this place. I know you are supposed to come with your patience and willingness to dig for a deal. Well my last visit was too much. The place was sooo packed and the merch was everywhere! There seemed to be more disorganization than I've ever seen. I think I start finding my deals online now and avoid the mess and crowd.
