Alan David Custom Offers the Best Suits

I’ve been going to Alan David Custom for my suits for years. I get the tailored fit that I’m looking for whenever I have a formal occasion. I trust their recommendations before my own each and every time because I always get compliments when I wear one of their suits. They have also done stunning work with alterations for me when I’m in a hurry.

They fixed my pants in under an hour

I was sedperate for a tailor. I was getting married on Saturday and it was already Wednesday. The pants on my wedding suit at the bottom of the zipper was laying awful. Its hard to expleain but at the end of the zipper the fabric was bunching up causing a big indentation. It looked horroble. I went to 3 different tailors that week and none of them were able to fix it, it actually kept getting worse because of all the new alterations. I had bought the suit in Italy about a month ago and just never realized it. I went to Alan David and in one day they fixed it. They explained to me that the rise in the back was too short and was putting too much presssure on the zipper area. i am not going to pretend that I know what that means but they fixed it, it looked excellent, they saved the day. I want eveybody out there to know how happy i was.

Love em-will never leave em-I am now the man in the grey flannel suit, and he never looked so good. This place can even make flannel look trim. I look like James bond for half the price of my thief tailor from Florida. I even feel like a New Yorker.

Mad Men suits

Mad Men show has awesome suits, wanted an exact replica fit. No problem, I was told. I had heard it all before, except this time it was not any problem at all. Suit fit me fabulous, barely and extra fabric. Very very slim. My favorite suit now.

Quick turnaround

Like magic they got me a custom tuxedo for my brothers wedding in 4 days! Fit was fantastic. Would be 5 stars but price was $1300, wanted to spend less but went for the quality. I do not profess to know a lot about clothing, all I know is they bailed me out so kudos to them. Nice peaople as well, ask for Scott, he looks old but knows his stuff.

Every once in a while you come across a store that goes over and above the given call. And sometimes, when your mood is bad, they even cheer you up to boot. Allen David is a very special person. I had ordered 6 suits back in February 2009 (yes 2009) and then i lost my law job and was unable to pay. Allen was just so nice and let me pay it out. i just made my last payment, thus the reason for the posted review. I gotta say Allen is the most giving business person I ever met. I was so depressed after I lost my job that I lost over 20lbs. Not only did Allen let me pay it out he altered my suits for free so I could look good on interviews. Now while I was always a good customer Allen knew there was no way I was going to get back to my old spending habits so he helped me out of the goodness of his heart. G-d bless him and his store.

3 day suit

Wow-I think everybody should go to Allen David ya know, I had a big business meeting this past Saturday and was desperate for a new suit the Monday before the cleaners killed my only nice suit. My neigbor told me to go and since they own their own factory they made me a gorgeous suit I picked it up Thursday and wore it Saturday. I wish the meeting would have went as well as the suit-who knew-custom suits in 3 days-stick around long enough u will see everything.

They get me my custom tuxedo on time

I was getting married in 10 days and my wedding tux was botched by another tailor. Not only did they get me my custom tuxedo on time, but it harldy needed any alterations upon arrival. Wedding was New Years Day and I got a ton of compliments so just wanted to say thank you Alan and thanks to your whole staff.

I would definitely recommend

With three weeks before my wedding (I had a serious mishap at Mens Wearhouse and decided to go big league), they were able to pull together an amazing fitting and looking suit. With custom competition ranging from $300 to $10,000, it's hard to be completely objective relative to the price, but I was extremely happy with the service and product. It will be a long time before my next purchase, but I would definitely recommend them over some of the "made in hong kong" custom varieties.
