I'll pay tribute to this aptly-named New York watering hole, where I had a rollicking good time a few weeks ago. It seemed vaguely Celtic-themed so we gravitated toward it, only to find that its magnetic pull was so strong that we were there until close. Great mix of music, people and bartenders are extra cool.

I always stop in for a pint or 2,pretty good beer selection.Good snacks, fish and chips, better than average bar food and the fries are very good. The bartenders are friendly and are pretty cool with the buybacks. The music is diverse but always good. This place is perfect on a saturday afternoon-not too crowded, pretty cozy.Prices are reasonable and the bathrooms are clean.

I went to meet up my girlfriends...I was alone and when I got there, there was no line. The doorman told me that the place was overcrowded and that I will not be able to go in. When I peeked in the place looked empty. So...i knew he was lying. I tried to reason with him and told him that my friends were waiting for me inside. He told me that if I would only be able to go in if I paid him $1000. That was so rude...and surprising to me, since it is not known as a pretentious place. I went a few times before too, and nver had any problems. I will never ever go back again after this experience.

I've been here several times, either to catch a bite with some friends or get miraculously trashed, often at the same time! This place is great and has a large enough space to accomodate large groups. The service is always very attentive, and not only will they take confusing food orders, but they will also do well at confusing short and drink combo orders too! Even better is the downstairs area which turns into a club, although frequently for an 18+ crowd which makes me feel freakishly old. Otherwise a great place to hang out at and a great places to enjoy a pint or enjoy dream enducing rounds of shots. I recommend trying the buffalo burger!

It's an Irish bar in the East Village. There was plenty of room for our expanding group-- and no one complained! The service was friendly, if a bit forgetful. (Seems like anyone who ordered Stella was immediately on the "forget me" list. I think it's because it was an Irish bar and Stella was too mainland Europe.) The food was typical bar food, though the Buffalo Wings had a much better than usual kick to 'em. The open floor to ceiling windows really helped the space feel like the outdoors. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers

Pros: friendly service, great wings, space to expand

Cons: forgetful staff

i eat fish & chips here once a week. large portion, perfectly cooked with ample chips. washed all down with a few pints of boddingtons and you have a mighty fine meal. i recommend it to everyone i know & take out of town guests. watch out for major sporting events, though. the large screen tv draws HUGE crowds and makes eating / talking /enjoying difficult.

Pros: fish & chips, drinks, fish & chips

Cons: large screen tv, unpredictably crowded
