I got takeout from this place for lunch today. The service is fast, but most important, the food is really good and cost only 5 bucks.I definitely go back again for Pad Thai and lychee drinks. The girl behind the counter is friendly , offered me a fresh coconut smoothies. Yum!! Thank you so much.
Pros: Thumb up
Cons: Take out Thai street food

Have eaten here several times. It becomes more disappointing and disgusting with each visit!! The staff always seems annoyed. Annoyed that we do not order more quickly. Annoyed that we would like the drink chilled and not warm. Annoyed that we would like the food served hot and not brought to us tepid. Moreover, the service is extremely unacceptable, the owner(i guess) in particular. Oh!... MY GOD!!..This is just a CRAZY! Place that i've never ever experience such... She does very little to disguise the fact that she want to flip tables quickly. One course is dumped on the table before the previous one is completed. To make it worse!!, I found a disgusting thing in FOOD!!..It used to be a treat. It has become a trial. You could do better for the price!!
Cons: service, food, staff, drink, dirty!!

I first went to Kai Kai sometime last fall. There was a comfy dining room, the service was nice and the food was great. I went back tonight (it's May now), and my second visit was the exact opposite of the first. The comfy dining room is gone, the space replaced by a shop selling pastries for dogs. What's left of Kai Kai is a takeout counter and two tiny tables. My date ordered a bubble tea and the pad see ew with vegetables and no eggs (she's vegan); I ordered spring rolls and the pad kee mow. The pad see ew came with eggs, so she sent it back and the replacement dish consisted of undercooked vegetables, a few noodles, and not enough brown sauce to give the dish any flavor. She wanted to send it back again, but I asked her not to because the third dish would have been spat into. My pad kee mow was so inedibly spicy (yet flavorless) I had it wrapped up to save for later, when it will hopefully mellow. The spring rolls didn't show up until after the entrees, and it took four napkins to sop up the grease before they could be eaten. The bubble tea never came but was on the bill anyway, so we pointed it out and had a new bill made so we could leave as quickly as possible. There are so many good Thai places in the city there's no excuse for such a bad dining experience. They must have had a much better kitchen and wait staff the first time I went. Kai Kai today is bad in both food and service. Zero stars.
Pros: none
Cons: Where to begin?

The pad thai is delicious, but it seems to be the only delicious thing on the menu. Friends I've dined with have tried different meals and don't have much to rave about. The drinks are ok and consist of many flavors, including lychee iced tea, but probably not worth the $2.50 since its just water mixed with sweet lychee powder. The vegetable pad thai keeps me coming back though. Good service and the decor is also very cool, and cozy, even though you have to be careful when walking around the small unsturdy wooden tables. I would recommend you stop by if you are in the area and check it out for yourself, especially if you are a vegetarian. CASH ONLY! PS - the coconut vanilla ice cream is delicious - $2 for 2 scoops. YUM.

This is a travesty to Thai cuisine. I don't care how cheap it is; it's really god awful food. I've lived in Thailand. Any self-respecting Thai person would disown this!
Pros: inexensive
Cons: terrible food

The food was dry and not very tasty. I would not reccomend this at all and I have tasted thai food all over the world.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Bad Food, Bad Service, Very Rude

This is probably the cheapest Thai food that I've had in the city. You cannot get great-tasting Thai food at this price anywhere else. The restaurant is really tiny, however, it is a great place for a date or intimate dinner.
Pros: really cheap, quick service

Kai Kai was recommended to me by a friend and I was not dissappointed. Everything I tried was fresh and tasty. Most of their seating is for couples, so it is a great place to take a date before heading off to see a show.
Pros: Affordable, Delivery, Great Thai
Cons: , Cash only

my "vegetable" pad Thai came with two vegetables: soy bean sprouts and a few pieces of scallion. the noodles weren't even well-seasoned. Kai Kai's other dishes may be better than their pad Thai, but I can't say that I'll rush back to find out.
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: bad food
