i went to ene because of a recommendation from a friend (who hadn't been there, but heard and read (citysearch) good things about it). i recently moved into the city and am still trying to find a salon i like. from the moment i walked in, i fell in love with the place! it's so comfortable and fun...tons of postive energy! everyone who works in the salon is extremely friendly and interesting. i felt like i had been there a million times before. they play great music, keep the door open, and the salon is decorated with a fun, funky, south american, basement feel. i made an appointment with nelson, the owner, for highlights and a cut. i figured go with the owner for the best experience, plus i read about all his past experience. i was so happy with my decision! nelson really listened to me and truly seemed to care! i'm the kind of client who has an idea of what i want, but like it when the stylist does their own thing (they are the professionals!). he did a great job with the color and a phenomal job with the cut (i was ready for a change, but unsure of how it would look)! they also gave me a great deep conditioning treatment after my highlights cause of all the damage from the bleach. my hair looked super healthy. the cost of everything wasn't all that cheap, but highlights always amp up the price! but i left so happy that it was well worth it. i'll definitely be going back and recommending it to all my friends. my friend who recommended is actually about to maker her own appointment!
