If you want a look that is elegant, in great taste and you wish for beautiful hair color, then Mira is the expert to see.
She is a great colorist, she is warm and welcoming and she greets all of her clients with good cheer.
Mira is a gem, immensely talented in the art of hair color, and she also brings tremendous work ethic and incredibly high standards to her craft. She works on your color from start to finish, and you are not in danger of going unattended.
If you want consistently beautiful hair color, well then make an appointment with Mira. You will not be disappointed!
In terms of the salon, it is a beautiful, immaculately clean space, and everyone is friendly, including Eva herself.
Added perks-hair blowouts that will make you feel as though you stepped out of a fashion magazine.

Donna for a new you!
by ks15
I have been a devoted Donna follower for years. I will have no one else touch my hair. It's that simple. This time I wanted a drastic change. Always hovering in the blonde shades, I wanted to dare a red. Donna set me at ease, gave me confidence and said go for it---of course, even though the color rocked, I was more shocked with the change after I got home. What had I done? Was this me? The next day I called Donna for some serious emotional hair therapy and counseling...the color was gorgeous, but could I pull it off? She gave me some great advice, suggested new clothes colors, makeup and assured me that if after a couple days I didn't like it, she would be more than happy to help me go back to my usual blonde....well I am thrilled to report that Donna was right! Everyone *LOVED* the new color, thought it suited me wonderfully well and with the right color combinations in makeup and clothes, it was amazing! Perhaps I could get used to this red afterall and 'rock it out' (as Donna said). I share this story to let you all know that Donna is not only the best stylist I have ever been to in terms of cut and color, she is a great listener and friend. Will I stay red forever? Who knows? But whatever I try next, I will certainly return to my hair therapist! Love her!
- Pros: Great color, cut, phenomenal hair/emotional therapy!
- Cons: absolutely none
The Best

I've been getting my haircut at Eva Scrivo for over a year now. My hair stylist is Hiro (now at the Meatpacking location) who is beyond fantastic. I have really thick, wavy hair, and I have had my fair share of hair-stylists in the past who have not known how to handle it. I can't express how perfect a job Hiro does every single time, except to say that I get tons of compliments on my hair. Next, I'm going for one of the facials, something I have not tried there yet.
Everything about the salon is fantastic. I love the green tea and yummy little biscuits. The entire place just has a great feel, it's not pretentious - everyone is so friendly and you're constantly pampered. I think the prices are perfectly reasonable considering I always have a perfect haircut, and I enjoy every single minute of it. If I could go every week, I would!
- Pros: Perfect hair, being pampered, yummy tea & biscuits, Hiro
- Cons: No cons

The Best Salon
by starbird89
After having received one bad haircut after another, I researched the top salons in New York City. Eva Scrivo popped up all over the place and received excellent reviews. I was also very impressed with Eva's website. About seven months ago I made my first appointment and Donna was my stylist. As soon as I walked in, I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. I sat in Donna's chair and we had a consultation. Just by talking to her, I had a very positive feeling that this was going to be a great cut. I have to say my hair was in bad shape, bulky with choppy layers all over the place. After I was shampooed, I arrived back in Donna's chair and was asked if I wanted anything to drink. They served me the most delicious coffee in my own french press. Then Donna proceeded to work her magic. When she was done, my hair looked better than ever and I knew I had found my stylist! Each time I leave the salon, my hair looks better and better. The bulk, heaviness and choppiness I once had are now a distant memory. Thanks to Donna's expertise, I now love my hair again. I have never received so many compliments and I would highly recommend Eva Scrivo to everyone.
- Pros: Salon, staff, atmosphere
- Cons: None
Amazing color, gorgeous salon
by jpete102
I just had my color done for the first time at Eva Scrivo's new salon on Bond Street. Let me first say that the salon is absolutely stunning! I have never in my life seen a beauty salon so meticulously and tastefully designed. It looks like a huge and breath taking loft apartment with a lot of mirrors, or maybe an incredible event space. Not surprisingly, someone who puts so much effort and good taste into the appearance of her surroundings, puts just as much into her work. Eva herself did my color, and I can say without a doubt that it's by far the best I've ever had! The base color is a perfect ash blonde and every highlight is meticulously placed to look like I'd just spent the summer on the beach (but much better since nature just can't give you what a super talented artist can). I've since received so many compliments on my hair, even by women I've never met before! After Eva finished with my hair, she went downstairs to broadcast her beauty talk show on Sirius radio right from the lower level of her salon. I never knew that she had a radio show and was curious to listen, so I decided to get a manicure while it was played live on the main floor. It was very insightful with dozens of people calling in to ask questions, and I was amazed at how good Eva is on the radio! It was very cool listnening on the radio to the woman who just 20 minutes ago did such a fab job on my hair, right in her own salon. All in all a great experience and I'll be back soon!
- Pros: Stunning Salon, Amazing hair color, Friendly and warm staff
- Cons: none
Effortless professionalism sends clients out the door with to-die-for style.

In Short
A bustling beauty spot, this full-service salon and its composed owner are the embodiment of good grooming. On the lofty ground floor, modish sophistication is the standard for precision cuts and color (including razor and dry cuts and French-technique balayage highlights). A narrow staircase leads down to a low-key candle-lit spa, where you can sink into a massage chair for a decadent pedicure.
I'll have to be on a serious budget for the next couple months...

I went to get my hair highlighted and cut as a special treat for myself about a month ago and walked out spending almost $700, and not by choice. When I called to make my appt., I was given appts. with both Master Stylists (Scott and Alyson). I had never been before, so I had no preference in who I was to see. That was fine, but what I REALLY SHOULD HAVE ASKED is, how much this was going to cost me? Although my highlights are nice and I love my cut, I was just absolutely upset about how much these things cost me, and not to mention how I was strong-armed into buying products after it was all over. I know it's New York and all, but I was expecting to pay no more than $300, maybe $350 tops, for everything. I usually pay $135-$150 for everything at another salon. Will definitely not go back because it's just so outrageously expensive to have Scott and Alyson work on my hair. I cried when I got home, not because my hair looked nice, but at the thought of how much I had just spent. I'm giving it 2 stars as an average (4 stars for Scott and Alyson and no stars for price).
- Pros: Friendly Staff
- Cons: Outrageously Crazy Expensive
Best salon I've ever been to
by poodle123
I mistakenly posted this under the Bond Street location.... so I reposted it here.
I've been at customer at Eva Scrivo for over a year now. I initially went to see Eva, the owner, for a color correction due to a horrible dye job at my previous salon and thought it would be a one time splurge to get myself back on track with a good color. But, Eva did such a good job with my color and cut that I'm now hooked on her salon's services. They are a little on the expensive side, but the quality is top notch -- hence why I've gone back ever since. While there are many talented stylists there, lately I've been seeing Hiro and he does a wonderful job with cuts! He takes a lot of time going over what would look good on you before he starts cutting, and is really patient and explains what he's doing throughout the cut (I'm very particular and do ask questions so I like that he doesn't take offense at this!) I also like that when he's blowing your hair dry, he shows you how to do it so you can achieve the same look at home. He's really an excellent addition to the salon. I've never written a review before, but my last cut was so great that I had to post. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is bored with their current style and needs a change!
- Pros: talented staff, expertise, range of services
- Cons: none really....
The AcuFacials
by cocoagain
The AcuFacial treatments are the best! Acupuncture and/or acupunture plus a facial- I've had them both and love them equally. After one treatment my skin looked and felt better than I've ever seen it> I bought the acufacial resculpting package to lift my sagging facial muscles and reduce my fine lines and wrinkles. Not only do I look great after my treatments I also feel relaxed. I have also tried the acupressure ear seeds for weight loss and I can't believe it, but it's working. Tthe acupuncturist is gentle and knowledgable. She created the AcuFacial technique and teaches it to other acupuncturists- so I know that I am in experienced hands. The environment at Eva Scrivo Salon is also friendly and the staff make you feel special and cared for. I highly recommend this expereince to anyone.
