Amazing Job

by akd424

I got my tattoo done last week by Logan. I could not have been happier with the service and with the job that he did. I got a short quote done on my foot. He helped me pick out the right spot so that the tattoo would not fade/look HORRIBLE after a little while. He was SO patient considering I asked him to write out the words in different fonts five times! He was extremely nice and funny and really helped me to relax and feel comfortable. He made sure I was okay with everything before he did it and was extremely helpful and knew what he was talking about, and was also an amazing artist! Seriously, if you want to get a tattoo done GO TO LOGAN! I have nothing but good things to say it was overall a great experience!

True Tattoo Art

by Adrian C

I went to Venus to get pricing info on a tattoo. I spoke with Logan Aguilar. Even on initial impression he was extremely professional. The pricing is pretty much comparable for any good tattoo. After looking over some of Logan's art I decided I wanted him to do this tattoo for me. Luckily, I was able to get in the next day to get the ink. The picture I had given was very pixelated when blown up. 4 hours of ink later and I was blown away. Logan took this crappy image and made the most beautiful tattoo. The ink has definition and depth to it. I'm not going to say it was painless, because no tattoo is, but Logan made it as painless as he could. The ink could not be better and I am so impressed with his true art. The only problem I have is that all of my other tattoos now look like they were done by kids compared to this new piece. I highly recommend Logan Aguilar for any work you are considering.

  • Pros: Soft touch tattooing, great pricing, true art

Amazing Tattoo

I got a tattoo on my neck by Logan Aguilar of a Claddagh on my neck. He drew it up beautifully, and it came out amazing. It barely hurt at all. I am planning on going back soon for another one. I am 110% satisfied :)

Are you a newbie in "tattoo land"? Go for Logan at Venus!

by savvygirlNYC

I wanted a small star tattoo for so long but had heard all these horor stories about tattoos hurting too much, your skin getting scraped and regretting it afterwards.

Looked at Citysearch and thought that Venus MBA seemed a decent place. When I got there I was totally freaking out and was SO nervous. I chatted with Logan who took all the time in the world to help me relax. He was very patient and not pushy at all. The place is also super clean and professional. Logan even did a couple of pinches on me so I can get a sense of what it feels like....and I will tell you this: It did NOT hurt at ALL!!! It was the easiest thing ever and Logan even helped me pick a cool color (purple) and did exactly what I wanted to do.

Conclusion: if you are a newbie and intimidated by the other reviews bc they come from people with HUGE experience with tattoos and you feel like a tattoo dork and you are not sure you can trust the reviews bc they talk about these super complex tattoos that are not for you...just go to Logan at Venus MBA. Don't get me wrong he still is the guy for complex stuff but your little tiny tattoo will get the same attention by a great professional and you won't feel nothing but a little pinching for a minute or two and then you will have your cool little tattoo and go home super happy!

  • Pros: Logan is super professional and patient with newbies
  • Cons: A bit expensive for very very simple designs

Logan Aguilar...if you don't know him you should!

by MoneyP

I went to Venus with a friend because he wanted to get a piercing. We chose Venus because they have some dope jewelry. Bonus- Rob (the guy who did the piercing) is amazing- clean, quick and skilled. Double Bonus- I was looking for a place to take my mom to get her first tattoo and Venus just recently reacquired Logan as the artist. Brilliant move! When I came back it was service with a smile. We told him what we were looking for and he took it to another level (AN AMAZING ONE). The sketch was hot, and the tattoo is even hotter. Logan does not have a heavy hand and was very gentle with both of us. He is a master with black and shading, and I really appreciated that. He has won numerous competitions, and it is obvious why. His artwork has depth and originality. I'm going back to make some changes to other tattoos and have recommended him to all my friends. Venus brings its A-Game every time.

  • Pros: best tat so far

Good artist

by hmorris6

I was in the city visiting for the billionth time and decided I wanted my first tattoo. I looked up tattoo places in the city and this place was pretty highly rated, not to mention I've walked by it a bunch of times so it stood out in my mind. I had the male tattoo artist and he was very nice and understanding. I don't know who this Rhonda is, but thank god I didn't have her. Even the artist and the piercer were complaining about her while I was in the waiting area. The tat I got was just a simple design but it turned out very nice. I have several friends with many tats and ive watched them being done and honestly it didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I don't know if this had anything to do with the artist but either way, bravo on the work.

  • Pros: careful and well planned work
  • Cons: carpet is a little dingy

Blew me away

by paranoidandroid87

Wanted a piece forever like 3 years had an idea and a copy of a sketch I liked from a comic, but I wasn't sure how serious I was, this is permanent. Showed it to Chantal she loved and offered to draw it up. When I came back and saw it I knew I wanted it for sure she took it to a whole new level increasing the detail and really hitting the emotion I wanted from the character in the piece. The price was high but not in comparison to the size of the piece and it took a little longer than expected and she didn't add the extra time into the price. She was nice, professional, bought me a bagel, and offered me her ipod so I could watch cartoons while she shredded up my ribs. After all was said and done I couldn't be happier with how it came out and I can't wait to go in for my next one.

  • Pros: Awesome Piece Awesome Price Awesome Girl
  • Cons: Kinda wish she didnt draw it up so good, hurt like hell

Don't Bother!!

by Fughedabowdit

i came into the shop expecting to see my regular Tattooer Ronda, and I was informed she no longer was working there. As I was about to leave, I was approached by a very high pitched voice girl telling me that she would be able to fit me in. fit me in to what?? They were all just sleeping on the couches doing nothing. It definitely did not look like her schedule was that full where she would have to "fit" me in anywhere!! At the moment, I didn't quite know what to do. I knew I wanted to get in touch with Ronda, but didn't know if I would be able to. The annoying voice girl kept pressuring me so I half agreed to maybe get tattooed by her. I came to my senses when I saw her pamphlet of a portfolio and realized that that would be an insult to my tattooer! I was about to walk out. The guy sleeping & annoying voice girl then told me I had to pay $25.00 just for opening up my mouth in the shop I guess? We never even discussed a price or when, Because nothing else took place that I'm aware of. In the heat of the moment I paid the $25.00, only to get the hell out of there!! Listen, $25 is not much to me, but if they are THAT hard up for cash since Ronda left, they could have it!! Do yourself a favor... STAY AWAY!!

  • Pros: None that I can think of.
  • Cons: EVERYTHING!!

Logan is the Man @ Venus Tattoo!!!!!!!

by Tvirus09

So i woke up one day wanting to get my whole side tatooed in a very feminine way, but i wasnt sure which tattoo parlour to use. After doing some reaserch, i decided on Venus Tatto. First of all, I called and told them i wanted this work done on the day after. Every other tattoo parlour would tell me i needed an appointment, and a few consultations, to have an artist desingn such a tattoo. Finally Logan @ venus Tattoo, spoke to me over the phone, and told me to come in the next day. I had a vision of what i wanted, but had an amateur sketch(which i had drawn myself), so i sent him a picture of the sketch on the day of the tattoo(which was a CRAPPY PICTURE). Upon my arrival, i was soooo happy to see, he had drawn the tattoo the way i imagined in my head. It was perfection! He was extremely gentle with me, and very patient. He has gentle and quick hands. He is officially MY TATOO GUY!!! Go check him out if you ever need work done! His Art Rocks!!!!!!!

  • Pros: Coolest Spot to get Inked in NYC!!
  • Cons: None at all
