Borning and overpriced merchandise
by jujujemon at Citysearch
If this store was ever great, it's clearly past its heyday. None of the more current designer brands you would expect from a high end children's clothing boutique. Instead, all I found is the same stuff you can find in moderate department stores but with a ridiculous markup. In addition, the store owner is awful to speak to - utterly unhelpful and obnoxious. They also don't give any refunds. Only store credit within 10 days which also expire!
- Pros: Leaving the store
- Cons: High prices, uninformed and unhelpful staff
Trendy clothes for the under-16 set that won't clash with Mommy's designer duds.

The Scene
This Flatiron shop has been pioneering children's designer fashion since 1980. See mothers scan the ground level's crammed racks and shelves while fathers and tots play with low-tech toys strewn about the play area. Exasperated parents and their precocious pre-teen daughters can usually be found on the second floor.
The Goods
Any older relative harboring desires to dress the little ones in her likeness will be thrilled with the selection: Juicy Couture baby tees and kiddie spin-offs of adult designers (D&G Junior, for instance) abound. Junior separates by Roxy and Quiksilver, spangled cowboy shirts and Mandarin-collar dresses are also in stock. Old-timey, wind-up toys and novelties like camouflage-print CD cases and chimpanzee-emblazoned Paul Frank bar stools make great grown-up gifts, too.
