What a hidden gem

by pickyeater215

What a wonderful Italian family restaurant. Such a classic small Italian restaurant that I have walked by probably a thousand times and never knew about the amazing little restaurant in the back. I always just thought it was a pizza place, and it wasn't until recently I noticed the dining area that I thought I should give it a try. I am sure glad I did. If you want traditional amazing Italian food, and a very homey atmosphere with fresh, hot, crispy bread and food to satisfy every Italian food craving you can think of, you must come here! Highly highly recommended!!!

  • Pros: Anything and everything Italian to choose from
  • Cons: Not having a big enough stomach to eat everything!

Best pizza

by looneybin93

I've loved the pizza here since I was a child. I've moved away and come back to the lower east side over the 30 years...and this is still the best pizza here.

  • Pros: Pizza, Sauce, Pasta

Great Neighborhood Pizza

by patriots81

I order from here regularly and I am never disappointed. The pizza is yum (they even remember to cook it well done for us). The spinach saute and mussels are also quite good. Delivery is always fast.

Always fresh, always delivered quickly, always delicious. Nothing ordered from Frank's has ever disappointed. From steaming hot pizza to generous pasta dishes to delicious salads and wonderful clams.

Best Slice in Town!

by corinne211

I love this little whole in the wall. I can get a slice for $1.50-$2 or a whole large pie for $8. Can't go wrong.

Sauce is amazing. olive oil & crushed tomatoes, so light and crispy.

Also in the back they have a wonderful italian sit down restuarant. Great food there too. MMM Baked Ravioli!

  • Pros: Cheap, TASTY, Fast

Never Disappointed

by karenlin2002

I've been a regular customer for two years now and I've never been disappointed. I clean my plate everytime I eat at this place. During the 2003 blackout, we were lucky to be able to order a few of the last pies they were serving! Everything is good there: pizza, chicken parm heroes, pasta dishes, chicken dishes, calamari, sangria and even the coffee! My most favorite local italian eatery.

  • Pros: Food, Inexpensive

Really worted

by pastoreserafino

I have been there many times and the food is always consistent, over and over again. The service is ok, and even if the place is crampy i like to eat a good italian meal here. It's really worthed the money you spend.
