Great place to come as you are and chill
by MissBHaven
It looks like they are making some improvements to this place. I went in the other day and it seemed cozier than I remember. I come here mainly to take advantage of the 2 pool tables and large selection of beer on tap. I like the new improvements though. I plan on coming a lot more often now. It's a great neighborhood kind of bar where everyone can just come as they are. You don't have to dress up but you won't be looked at weird if you are. (I've done both). You could probably wear a bunny suit and they'd still be happy to serve you a beer. Or whatever else you want.
- Pros: Pool tables and beer selection
My first time and I will be back!
by john82nyc
My friends and I walked by last Monday and saw the 3$ Bud light sign. We went in intending to just get a quick beer and head home but we ended up staying for several hours thanks to the big buck hunter and the hot and super sweet bartender! Its really a great place for Monday nights. Nice and pleasant crowd but not crowded, great music and awesome jukebox, pool tables and just a lot of fun. And I love the bartenders slogan.... Mondays are the new Fridays! I think she is right. I will definitely be back!
- Pros: games, pool, specials, bartender
Good music, great place to hang
by wipeout1
I discovered Bulls Head Tavern because I like to drink beer, do shots, listen to good music, and play pool. I am one of the over 30 guys in the place with alot of NYC experience and probably alot more fun than you are. Anyway, my friends and I highly recommend the place for several reasons which are as follows: Lisa, Stephanie, Meah, Nicky, and did I mention Lisa. :) We recommend the place to ladies as well since it tends to attract many fun 20's and 30's something guys. Wonder why?
Wipeout
- Pros: Lisa,Stephanie,Nicky, and Meah
- Cons: Area around pool table can get crowded

Happiness found at Bull's Head
by slogan
I randomly popped into Bull's Head one night with friends, looking for a pool table. Not only did we find a pool table, but I found someone wonderful, and 6 months later, we're still together, playing great pool whenever we can!!!!

Killer happy hour ($3 Pints). The barely-dressed bargirls bring in the young male customers (and a couple of dirty old ones), and once in a while theres almost an even mix of guys/girls. Most of the time, however, it is sausage-central. The bargirls aren't terribly snotty for as good as they look (and as little as they wear), the weekend bouncers aren't jerks, and happy hour during the week is pretty good. The one negative (as I see it), is that it can get really packed on weekends, making it hard to get a drink or stand in one spot without getting jostled around. PS - there's no food here that I've ever seen... it's not a restaurant.
- Pros: half-nikkid bargirls, happy hour
- Cons: crowded

Being a regular for about five years should tell you that it's a great place. The bar maids are very nice and good looking and the music on the jukebox is great. It used to be a place filled with women but for the last few years more men started coming in. However if you want to hang out with a few friends at a place with good music in the back ground, you should try here. P.S, it's not a restaurant.
- Pros: great music, great bar maids
- Cons: gets to crowded, fratboys
Weekday Spot

The unpretentious staff is friendly and tolerant of the sometimes overzealous frat boy. Though this place often looks like a sausage party, the vibe is nice and the jukebox selection is good.
- Pros: good beer, good music, unpretentious
- Cons: frat boys
Best Staff in Town

Good Friendly bar with a great selection. But, the real attraction is the staff. Usually the most attractive, friendly, liveliest in the city. Great layout and good value. No food
- Pros: Great Staff, good selection, informal
