Food poisoning
by tryeverythingonce at Citysearch
I used to love this place too, but I went on Friday night and two hours later I got really sick. The salad didn't look right, and I didn't eat much of it (they took it off our bill). It might have just been a one time thing, but I don't think after that experience I would go back.
Amazing little Italian place

Piadina is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city. It has great food and a great atmosphere. It's a perfect place to take friends who are visiting from out of town because it's very "New York" (without all the fuss of more popular dinner spots) and it has something for everyone. We take all of our friends and we've never heard complaints!
- Pros: Great place to take friends
- Cons: Kinda small, and they don't take reservations
Cozy Spot

This is my favorite restaurant. They have a cozy atmosphere, delicious food, tasty wine and good service. I would highly recommend getting the Tagliatelle Al Ragu - it's phenomenal! The pasta is always fresh!
This is my favorite Italian restaurant!

Ever since I walked into this charming rustic place, I have been going at least once a month and I don't even live in the neighborhood! The menu is simply and yummy, the service is very easy-going, and the place is cozy. I love everything about the place and cannot wait for the next visit.
- Pros: Food, Ambience, Service, Value
- Cons: Cash Only
great Italian food and cozy, unstuffy atmosphere
by milllie5 at Citysearch
I have been goin to Piadina for years now and I just love it every time. The atmosphere is so quaint and darkly lit. The food has been astonishingly good for the price and the waiters are wonderful good-looking men who are happy to please. I can go here with my boyfriend for a quiet date or with a gaggle of friends for a birthday or whatever.
- Pros: Cute waiters, great food, nice prices and rustic atmosphere
- Cons: Be friendly &/or courteous if you want them to cater to you
Not the best pizza in NYC, but excellent for this neighborhood
by trufflehunter at Citysearch
Went early on a Thursday, had no trouble getting a good table. Loved our pizzas, mojitos in a cafe glass, and best of all, sgroppino - that lemon/vodka frozen dessert drink I hadn't had since Italy '02. Keep your expectations low (its a pizza joint!) and you'll be very happy (big pizzas with interesting toppings, strong drinks, low lights, not very expensive) We even liked our sweet waiter.
- Pros: thin crust on the pizza, well made beverages
- Cons: plastic coated menus could've been cleaned up
Horrific customer service - Ruined a long-lasting relationship

I can honestly say in my 7 years of dining out in Manhattan that I have NEVER been treated so offensively than by the server and manager at Piadina. Story: I made a reservation for a party of 7 for the following Saturday evening at 6:30 pm. As we entered the restaurant we were told that we had an hour to eat in order for them to accommodate a reservation that they should never have accepted in the first place. As a former waitress for years, you just DON'T do this! At the end of our meal, they asked us if we were interested in dessert and we replied with a yes. After offering us the dessert menues, Piadina had the audacity to refuse to serve us and asked us to leave in order to turn over the table for next customers!Clearly, $$$ and table turn-over is much more important to them than customer retention! We even asked to speak to the manager who was speechless and unapologetic. This experience is very disappointing, because my boyfriend and I were regulars there and this was the first time we brought our friends with us. We were shocked, embarrassed and disappointed by the lack of professionalism of the employees at this establishment. I hope the owner reads this to understand how his employees are treating his customers.
- Pros: Food, ambience
- Cons: Customer service is horrific and has deterred us from ever going back.
cute date spot
by lnz99 at Citysearch
This cute Italian restaurant is the perfect place for a first date. It is cozy and fairly inexpensive, but they only accept cash. Go on a Friday or Sat. for the best atmosphere. It gets crowded, but you usually only need a reservation for a large party. I've been several times and I will definitely be going back!
- Pros: charming atmosphere
- Cons: cash only
Surprisingly good

just had one of THE best meals i've had in a while. the food is very simple but well-prepared, well portioned and fresh. the homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce was abs. unbelievable. all around cute, intimate place, but don't expect to lounge around too long after your meal - the place was very packed on a sat. night and we were in and out in under 2 hours.
- Pros: fresh, delicious food
- Cons: service
