Dinner at The Rocking Horse Café was a perfect end to a day in the city. I began my Rocking Horse experience with sweet corn tamales topped with shrimp, chipotle butter and avocado. Not only did this appetizer come out well presented, wrapped in cornhusks, it was also delicious. My entrée, Camarones con Papaya, with shrimp, caramelized onions, and roasted vegetables and papaya served in a miniature skillet, with organic spelt tortillas rolled on the side, was amazing. Does anyone know the name of the Rocking Horse Chef? Because when I win the lottery, I plan on hiring him as my personal chef. Desert was a pleasant as well as imaginative experience. The cinnamon ice cream topping my spiced valrhona chocolate cake was so good I wouldn’t mind bathing in it. The Rocking Horse mixed drinks are great too! I recommend a passion fruit margarita on the rocks, easy on the limejuice. Aside from the food and drinks, the waiters and bartenders are HOT HOT HOT and the waitresses are beautiful. In fact, I’m still fantasizing about one of the bartenders. So, if you’re down for great food and enjoy being surrounded by gorgeous people, this is the place for you. If the weather is nice shoot for outdoor seating. It’s definitely worth the wait!
