A favorite gay stay in the Chelsea district.
by Katie Heffernan at Citysearch
In Short
This 1850s brownstone bed-and-breakfast houses cozy rooms for the mostly male guests passing through town. The active founder also created 24 Hours for Life, a nonprofit fund-raising organization committed to fighting AIDS, and named his on-site art gallery after it. A tall-walled rooftop lounge maintains a clothing-optional policy, and is perfect for summertime sun-tanning. Economy and standard rooms share baths, while deluxe rooms are kept private.
Euro charm with US value

We live in the city and from time to time check in when our apartment is being redecorated. We have also sent friends and family here over the past several years. The place is clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and knowledgable and the price is way out of line for such a central location in The Big Apple... $80 or so for two including a big breakfast.
- Pros: inexpensive, perfect location, great staff
Smaller is better

Disney World it's not, but this is one of the best bargains in the heart of Chelsea and the guest house atmosphere sure beats the cold sterile feel of chain hotels. The location is idea for all that gay Chelsea has to offer. Each of the 20 rooms here is tastefully decorated with original art works and the big draw in the winter is rooms with fireplace. In the summer the clothing optional sun deck is a great place to meet. Throughout the year the super friendly staff offers a huge breakfast spead that includes juice, coffee, pastries and cereal. Best of all is the price, surprisingly small for a place so big on benefits!
- Pros: all of the aboive

On my return from Disney land i had 2 days to spend in NY with some business.
On a small budget i got a room here.
Though the pirce was good for teh room but the rooms were very tiny hardly any place to move around.
Over all it was a nice comfortable stay and i liked the place.
- Pros: small + comfortable
- Cons: bad bathroom
