The Vibe
Owner Sean Cassidy (not the '80s heartthrob) may sell clothes for the working gent, but the atmosphere he's established is more creative than corporate. The Banana Republic-weary and the hip downtowner alike browse racks of suits and pants and shelves stocked with shirts neatly folded (but not annoyingly so).

The Look
Designer Emile LaFaurie favors muted colors like deep purples, blues and grays for his cotton shirts, but the occasional brilliant hue does find its way into the mix in a few vivid candy-striped button-downs (and in the hot orange iMac at the register). Don't leave without one of Sean's relaxed linen shirts. In fact, at $78 for short-sleeved and $95 for long-sleeved, buy several.
