Best place to watch the games...
by neonhombre
All right, first off if you dont notice by walking up to the place that its a bar geared towards an insane amount of drinking then maybe youre the idiot. Go somewhere else! The name of the game here is get as drunk as possible and watch sports..SIMPLE! I've been coming here for at least 10 years and it has always been great. Football is the best here. Be ready to see legions of Giants fans and Jets fans but dont be surprised when you see other teams being supported too, Eagles, Dolphins, Steelers, and yes even my team the Broncos.
- Pros: Cheap drinks, cute bartenders...
- Cons: Get ready to stand if you get here late...
college

Every time i come here I feel like I am in College again, with the beer pong tables and the cheap power hour drinks, it's really a great atmosphere.
- Pros: cheap drinks
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Doorman on a Power Trip
by BillEnsonia5
I've always hated this bar, but when my best friend comes to town he forces me to come bc the women are fish in a barrel. Unfortunately, the staff really do think they are members of Barack Obama's security team, which makes being here "not fun." When I get here with my group of five people, including my gf, they split us up, allowing three of us to enter, and forcing my gf and I to stand outside in the cold. We stood outside for 15 minutes, waiting to get into this overcrowded, way noisy, bar full of 18 year old NYU ugly chicks with fake ID's. This bar has always sucked, but in recent years it has gotten worse (it seems to be intentionally geared to favor a socially inept crowd with its rude doormen and bartenders). Since the crowds are very large, there are myriad bouncers walking about with chips on their shoulders, just being generally mean and pushy with patrons. Even before you actually step foot in the bar--at the door--they try their hardest to put you in a bad mood. When I asked the doorman nicely if he could let me through with my gf so that we did not lose my out-of-town friends in a sea of people inside, he told me "I'm cutting it off here...If you don't like it you can go somewhere else." There was no reason why this guy could not let me stay with my party of friends. He did it simply bc he could. Even when I told him that I am a semi acquaintance with the owner(MB), he told me that he was going to make me stand in the cold longer for opening up my mouth. Then he told me to go ahead and call MB (his boss) and tell him that Alex (that was the doorman's name) is the "A-hole who made you stand in the cold with your girlfriend." The point here, really, is that I am sick of bouncers in NYC acting like NYC cops, or secret service members. And for the record, positive reviews written for this bar are obviously written by employees. Next time, I'm spitting down from the upper deck.
- Pros: loose women and few real men
- Cons: cocky staff
DO NOT COME TO THIS BAR!
by jscott24
DO NOT COME TO THIS BAR! I put my card down to pay for drinks and when I went to close it out they told me that I had already signed and paid for the bill. I told them I did not have my card and never signed anything and the response was check your pockets. After informing them that I was not an idiot, didn?t have my card, and never signed anything, they caught on to the fact that they couldn?t take advantage of a drunk person and proceeded to kick me out. I cancelled my card that night, and my credit card company calls me Monday to report that there had been attempts to use it. These guys stole it and tried to convince me that I was crazy! The owners and bartenders are complete low-lifes, if you must come to this wretched bar be sure to pay in cash only.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: They rip you off
Who's the fly bartender who works Sat nights?
by BKKisses
Came here twice...on a Monday night during fleet week (if it wasn't fleet week it would have been empty!) and on a Saturday night (it was packed!). The drinks are super cheap. Especially the pitchers. And they have beer pong!!!! (It's free, you just pay for the pitcher). It's like a frat party in the city. Crowd is mixed. I wish I could say there were less chicks but wit a fly bartender like the one who works Sat nights, I can't complain.
- Pros: THE BARTENDER!
- Cons: crowded

huge bar, fun atmosphere, crowded on game days
by desieclipse
cool bar, but it has a very young college age crowd; they seem to have some really good bar food - including hot wings
- Pros: good bar food, fun atmosphere, lots of big screens
- Cons: college crowd, not many places to sit, forget about parking
An aptly named collegiate bar where cheap beer flows freely and fun is guaranteed.
by Contributor
The beloved watering hole of nearby NYU students, this Greenwich Village staple has the loud and friendly feel of a riotous campus party. Offering up 14 beers on tap, darts, foosball and a pool table, this two-story establishment is perpetually packed. A sprawling main room features a 30-foot bar, with another bar located in the upstairs balcony, providing drinkers with a birds-eye view of the scene below. DJs take requests Monday through Saturday nights, and the rest of the time a jukebox pumps out a constant soundtrack of assorted rock, soul, '80s and pop tunes. A menu of bar munchies includes Philly cheesesteaks, nachos and sliders, served 'til 4am seven days a week. And as at any college-friendly bar, the game is always on thanks to 15 hi-def, 42-inch Plasma screens and one gigantic projector.
So fun!

Off the Wagon has become our favorite place!! Wednesdays are ladies nights...shots, mixed drinks, and draft beers are all $2 each. Great place!
- Pros: If you're looking for a cheap fun this is the place to be!
- Cons: If you're not into the college scene it's not for you
