Bathroom line is terrible
by kapcuse79
If you're a dude, be prepared for a long wait for the bathroom. One at a time here so the line often backs up by 10 or more people. Terrible design. This place should be ashamed of itself.
Music is so-so, no real room to dance and on Friday, when I was there, they closed the outdoor area by 11. Not sure why but it brought too many people indoors.
I will never go back here.

Good Crowd,Friendly Staff And Fast Service
by DanielClark
My Girlfriend had her birthday party here recently and the staff were great, friendly and attentive they really looked after us.We have been here a couple of times previous and always found this place to be to be a fun neighbourhood hangout.A roomy SoHo hotspot the crowd generally speaking are fashion/art type followed by NYC''s trust fund kids.My description of the crowd would be a nice mix of good looking/stylish and trendy Soho types meeting for after work drinks or just to hangout. We have always enjoyed coming here and I recommend this bar to anyone who is looking for a laidback comfortable place to hang out with the right kind of people
- Pros: Great Outdoor Area, Nice Crowd,Friendly Staff And Strong Drinks
- Cons: Happy Hour Could Be Better And The Outdoor Area Closes At 11pm :(
Private Party DISASTER
by nhwmp
This bar is fine, good atmosphere, nice back deck. Stay away from planning a party here. I made that mistake and it was a disaster. After weeks of planning, contracts, etc...when party time comes, the people working there had no idea we had a private party planned. They had already taken reservations for the whole night, they were extremely rude about it, non-apologetic, the bar was already filling up with patrons and we were practically left to fend for ourselves. Needless to say, we were not charged the full amount as stated in our contract and the back deck was eventually cleared out for our use. If you're looking for a cocktail in Nolita then this place will suite you bc thats all they seem able to handle.
- Pros: good margaritas, nice back deck
- Cons: rude, unorganized party planning
Love it!

I've been coming here for years. You don't come here for the scene. Great fun with a group. It's refreshing bar atmosphere in Soho. Good layout-nice and open.
Sparse yet comfortable Nolita favorite attracts both quiet neighborhood regulars and raucous weekend revelers.

Spacious and stark, the room is warmed by exposed brick, plenty of wood and a range of beats from international to eclectic art rock. The early crowd soaks up the relaxed atmosphere beneath unusual Turkish lighting fixtures. Later, and on weekends, the vibe changes radically--beware of birthday parties--when the place may launch into sardine-can mode. The capacious outdoor garden is a smoker's delight.
Waaaaaaaay too crowded
by kneering
Came here on a Saturday night around midnight. I understand bars get crowded but this was ridiculous. If there was a fire we all would have been dead. Not worth it.
- Pros: Good music
- Cons: Way too crowded
YAAAAAWWWN
by manhattan25
From the name of the bar, you would think this was a hip, rock & roll, fun, loud, crazy place. The place itself is spacious and has an interesting look. I didn't get a chance to check out the garden because before I even went INSIDE the bar, I wanted to leave.
The bouncer outside was not friendly, whatsoever. Then, I walk in and I immediately feel like I've walked into an Upper East Side bar. EW.
More Vicious than Sweet. "We don't need your business!"
by fbotz
You be the judge. I was having a nice time at sweet and vicious on Sat. 07/14. I hung out on their patio with friends for over 3 hours ordering drinks at regular intervals. 10 minutes before midnight they flash the lights and ask me to leave the patio immediately. I agree to leave. 30 seconds later they bring me the last drink they let me order even though they were about to close along with my credit card that they decided to charge without permission even though it was just their to hold the tab. I decided to not make the credit card thing a big deal and just roll with it. However, 30 seconds after I signed the credit card slip the bouncer decided to throw us out of the patio. We were NOT being loud and we agreed to leave as soon as we settled our tab between us (necessary because they ran our credit card without permission). We got up and asked the manager why he didn't give us more warning. He said "We don't have to give you warning. We've been in business for 11 years. You want us to lose our license because of you (Still a full 5 minutes before midnight). Go to another bar if you don't like the way we treated you." We did. Bottom line: Sweet & Vicious doesn't need your business. We won't go there again. You shouldn't either.
- Pros: Good for people who like to be treated like dirt
- Cons: Unfriendly manager and bouncer
