I love this place! I've gone for at least all of their services once and each time it has been a dream. The therapists are so attentive and knowledgeable about their profession. The receptionists are trendy and always more than friendly, and if you come on the right day you'll get to see a former ANTM top three finalist! :) GO You won't regret it.

Pros: Great Service

Cons: Wish there was one around every corner!

I recently organized treatments for a group of friends. Everyone had a great time, except for me. I told my therapist I'd like to focus on my back and neck. Over the hour, she basically spent 10-15 min either laying her hands on an area (some no where near my neck) and holding them there for increasing amounts of time, culminating with holding my head for 3-5 minutes. As it was at the end of the massage I decided to ask her about her technique when she came back after I got dressed. Well, she never came back. In fact, she basically went home without checking back in on me. I called the spa director there to complain. Afterall, I had brought in close to $800 in fees for ONE hour on a Sunday afternoon, a fact I brought to her attention. She basically said what I was describing was some sort of cranial blah-blah treatment. I told her that's not what I signed up for and instead of being apologetic, she insisted it was part of their "signature" massage -- something no one else in my party had experienced -- and only offered to have the therapist call me back the following day (two days after the fact) to explain what she had been trying to do. None of this makes sense to me as a client, so I will not be returning. It's a total crapshoot at the Soho Sanctuary, so if you'd like your $130+/hr to go further, I recommend going any where else.

I have been to lots of spas and had lots of massages (even at the infamous celeb hangout Sanctuary Spa at Camelback Mountain in Arizona) but never have I had a massage as good at the one I had at Soho Santuary!! The ladies-only atmosphere was very relaxing. The steam room was great and the massage therapist was amazing! I highly recommend this place! I am going back very soon!

Pros: Experienced staff, Relaxing, Friendly

Soho Sanctuary is an all woman's spa that focus's on the beauty of women from inside out! They use all natural and organic products and make you feel special from the moment you check into the spa to the moment you leave...The staff is extremely knowledgable and gentle, and take the time to listen and treat your skin..the only place for facails for me.

Pros: high quality products, not commerical, women only

Soho Sanctuary is the best spa I have ever been to and I have been to a lot! It is so relaxing and beautiful and the staff is outstanding! My treatments were pure perfection and worth every dollar! You can tell the people at Soho Sanctuary really care about you! True professionals! I will be a regular from now on. Other NYC spas just don't measure up!

Pros: Professional, Great Therapists, Very Clean

I spent there over 3 hours and noone checked on how am I doing. Other than massage there was no service. Staff didn't even offered me a drink. I didn't like the massage and even after I asked to change the massage style the masuse continued what she was doing. If you ever been to a real spa SOHO SUNCTUARY is not a place for you.

Susanna does incredible brow waxes. And she only charges $20. SHe is sweet and friendly and really really good. BUT i fully admit that the people at the front desk are SUPER SUPER SUPER RUDE. They cancelled my appointment with telling me but then again they did squeeze me in any way without too much trouble. but they really need to do something about the people at the front desk, they are rude, have NO customer service skills, brain dead, and just aloof. BUT my brow wax is wonderful.

I have been to Soho Sanctuary twice, once for their Body Gloss treatment and once for a facial. Both times the service was excellent! I had a facial by Jennifer a week ago and was very impressed. She was thorough but not to aggressive with my skin. It looked so good after she was finished. The Body Gloss treatment is also wonderful. It's a 1/2 massage (and a good one at that) followed by a body scrub and rubdown in body butter. Perfect pre-vacation treatment...

the women who do the treatments are very good, professional, and personable, however the people at the front desk could learn alot from them. The front desk attendants are rude, cheap and unprofessional. Its a shame that they are the last people you see before you leave turning a very nice relaxing experience into an unpleasant time, leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth.
