Dry Italian Cheescake.

by cafecritic at Citysearch

I am sorry to say after purchasing a whole Italian cheescake my guests from italy and I were very disappointed, it was dry and tasteless. Can't compare to Luigi's Dolceria in Staten Island or Villabate in Bensonhurst Brooklyn or Veniero's in Manhatten. I can remember many years ago when the original family owned this bakery and the quality was much better. I must add that the best authenthic sicilian cannoli are from Villabate.

abusive behaviour from the owner

by sarajessica5z at Citysearch

The owner has all his employees in an ilegal situation and treats them very disrespectfuly. He abuses the situation of his employees in such a way that we as customers should not go to this abominable place. La Bella Ferrara is in fact a place where abuses take place and workers are in a very bad and horrible situation.

  • Pros: location in Little Italy
  • Cons: The owners criminal attitude

Great customer service, good deserts

by wisebrain at Citysearch

Not sure if the lady made a mistake, but our tiramisu was only $2. The other desserts are $5 which is typical for Little Italy.

Great desserts in little italy

by nycgirl171 at Citysearch

Great small place with many dessert varieties. The smell of the place is incredible and if you want miniture-sized desserts, they have their originals in smaller versions as well. The cannolis are the best Ive had in the city. The coffee cheescake and their original cheesecake is also very good. Try the Baba Rum as well. Tiramisu is decadent. I think ive tried everything in the store and theyve all been above par!

Note: theres no seating, its strictly order, pay, and leave bakery.

  • Pros: Desserts
  • Cons: No seating. Take it to the nearby cafe or starbucks on canal.

  • Pros: refills, price
  • Cons: crowed, tight space

Little Italy pasticceria makes mousse, fruit tarts, cannoli, miniature pastries and all-occasion cakes. Also seasonal specials like pumpkin pie.
