Awesome lunch buffet...I believed it was ranked the "Number 1 Indian Buffet in NYC" so much variety, go on weekends to avoid rush.

we come all the way from midtown for Salaam Bombay's lunch buffet. it's a steal for $13.95. the beauty of their buffet is the variety, taste and quality of their food

reviewing food is very subjective, however quality, taste and consistency of the food should mean something. we've been going to salaam bombay for years...i believe their are one of the oldest indian restaurants in the city...needless we love this place

Great Place

Ate there last night and thought the food was excellent. The portions were huge. The chicken xacutti, shrimp balchao and mix grill were all excellent. The service was great as well. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will be raving about this place.

disgusting!!!!

Can't believe anyone would go back to this depressing hole, especially when the staff adds 20% for gratuity even for a party of 2!!!! Then they try and trick you into adding an additional tip by not producing the whole check, only the reciept with the total after they run your card. this place closed and re-opened under new ownership and is the worst place I've ever eaten. Always empty and bad food. Really bad food. Try Balluchis down the street, pricey but consistently good.

Simply the Best!

We've been going to Salaam Bombay for fourteen years now. It's not only our favorite Indian Restaurant its on of our favorite restaurants period. Reading the previous reviews about raw food and people getting sick suprise me because our experience over the years have been nothing but true enjoyment. In todays times the fact that a restaurant is been around for over fourteen years must say something about the place; that their doing something right. Salaam Bombay offers great food, warm service and a great ambiance. Check it out for yourself
