Great Neighborhood Pub!
by Alhegarty
There's nothing fancy about Reade Street, but if you want the feel of a great neighborhood pub stop buy. We recently stop in without a reservation for a 30th Birthday and had a great time with new bartender Kevin and waitress Dianne!
Out of control

Rude is not that right word. Manager she has alot of problems she is A bartender there if that is what you want to call her.. you can wait like 15 mim's for A drink with her. one day a drink is one price, and the next day it is something eles. she is so Rude and nasty why is that ? they must lose alot of money there and tips as well.
Food can be much much better. but prices can be good . this weekend we all went there after work and after waiting for drinks for more then 10 mim's we went some where eles. that was so much better . good luck to them. O and the Rats out side that place, at night time is so not cool..... Please do something about it ....
- Cons: poor managerment
Really RUDE!!!
by stefano780
We ordered beers, the place was packed because of world cup. We, loudly, were asked that if we wanted to continue staying in the bar to finish the game we had to continue ordering. It is the same as if you were asked in a restaurant where you are already eating that, in order to continue staying at your table you have to order more food!!! Since we were thinking to eat in that place after the match (we obviously did not!) we found this incredibly RUDE. Obviously some people drink more some less and we definitely had not giving them less money than other people there. DO NOT GO THERE!
- Pros: the place itself could be nice
- Cons: STAFF INCREDIBLY RUDE AND ONLY BUSINESS ORIENTED
Great Neighborhood Pub
by be_dot
Met here before a concert for a few drinks with friends and had a great time. We got there early (5:30) on a Friday and were able to get 2 seats at the bar. The food was very good and the bartenders/waitress were very nice and accomodating. WIll definitely be returning. Prices were good as well.
- Pros: Great staff, no frills decor, good food for good price
- Cons: can get crowded late happy hr/ early evening
Cool pub for after work
by tarag354
I have been here a couple times after work and both times have been good experiences. The bartenders are great and friendly. It is definitely a no-frills pub with good bar food. I would definitely recommend the reade street ale too!

What a Surprise
by Dawnrenee1313
We stumbled in here one night just because it was close to our hotel. The service was outstanding, the bartender/server was extremely warm and friendly. The food was served quick and was great. The Reade Street salad was great, and our burgers and fries were good and cooked correctly. The atmosphere is fun and casual, and we really enjoyed this little gem.
- Pros: Service, History (9-11)
Great Beer, Great Bar
by whipsmart21
Reade Street has possibly the best beer in the city, little after taste and it packs a wallop. Plus it is cheap. Greatplace to go with friends to blow off some steam from the work week. Everytime I take a new person there they end up using the bar to impress their friends about what a great hidden bar they have found. The food is good too!
- Pros: Inexpensive, Good Beer, Friendly Staff
- Cons: closes, large group=tough fit
Where everybody knows your name...

A great place with friendly bartender. Fire place, exposed brick, solid food. The kitchen, which is under new ownership, has improved greatly. Fantastic menu and beer selection.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Great food, Good drink selection
- Cons: Slow service
for your money, not your honey

If you can put up with old drunk lawyers sabotaging the juke box, this place delivers more drunk for the buck than anywhere in Tribeca. Low key without being seedy, good beers with sucking up the bucks, good times without warning. Bring your friends as this is no pick up bar. And watch out for women making out in the bathroom when Chris plays live covers on Thursday night.
- Pros: bar food, Guiness
