The Scene
Kasmin, a native of the United Kingdom, began as a private dealer who decided to set up shop after frequent trips to the U.S. In 1999, he joined the flock of Soho gallerists moving to Chelsea.

The Draw
Most of the names on the roster are already well-established; Donald Baechler and Suzanne McClelland, not to mention Andy Warhol. The focus is on contemporary painting, drawing and photography; though works in other media are shown from time to time. Unlike his fellow expat dealers Gavin Brown and Matthew Marks, Kasmin shows relatively few British artists.
