Pretty Good

Nice decor. Reasonable prices, especially to be in the middle of the village. The location is great parking, just like for the rest of NY is not that good. The food is very reasonable and very good. Whenever Im in town I order the Fajitas de Carne and they are always good. Nothing is rushed the waiters are friendly, making sure we dont have any empty plates in front of us. The mojitos are absolutely great! This is a place I will recommend to my friends.
Fantastic Guacamole and Margaritas
by nyny1981
So we first came here for a friend's birthday a couple of years back and since then, this is almost our default place for large groups. They have a garden area in the back which is perfect for that purpose - and like some of the reviewer's have mentioned, its not as cramped as some Manhattan spaces tend to be.
But the real winners here are the guacamole and the margaritas (especially the margarita cadillac which is basically a regular margarita plus some grand marnier). The rest of the food is very good, but let's be honest - we don't exactly go here thinking fine dining. Having said that, the fajitas are delicious and the pallela isn't too shabby either. But its a combination of the food, the 'ritas and the service that pretty much guarantees a good time.
Unbelievable Fajitas!

I will definately go back to this place. Unlike most restaurants in Manhattan, the seating allows for private conversations and you don't have to squeeze in and out of you seat. I had their Pepe Banana Monkey drink and it was incredible. But the best part was the steak fajitas, the meat was so tender and flavorful, it was hard to let my date have a taste. The atmosphere is casual and romantic, kinda like an old villa in Spain. The staff is very relaxed, a little slow but it allows for nice long conversations and you don't feel like you are being rushed out the door for the next table, which is a nice change in Manhattan. It's location is also great for a night out - located in the West Village, after dining, you have the option to go to a piano bar, movie, or even a little naughty shopping.
- Pros: Great food, full bar
- Cons: Staff is a little slow

The Staff so friendly and willing to make each customer feel welcomed - The Margaritas (compliments of Angelica the batender)- simply the best in NYC - and if you are looking for a great inexpensive meal - Wow - the Lemon Pepper Steak and the Seafood Paella (my personal favorites) unbelievable
Looking to have a fun girls night out - or celebrate a birthday - this is the spot
- Pros: Excellent Happy Hour - Friendly Staff - Well prepared meals
fish is mediocre

a little expensive. For the same amount i get a whole snapper (small) in some other places. And grilled not stewed in mushrooms.
- Cons: didnt like the fish
Awesome food, awesome bar!

I enjoy the paella, and love the guacamole. It's delicious. But most of all I love the bar and the service.
Best Couscous in NY
by kaSi21
As Moroccan food lovers we were interested to see if Le Souk lived up to its reputation. We were not disappointed! We waited about 5mins to be seated and were given a nice table by the Bar. The restaurant itself is buzzing.. not in a bad way but in a bustling, alive kind of way. Our waiters were great! they were polite, funny and attentive without being in our faces. The food was great! The Couscous, made table side, was spectacular. Beware it is a little expensive $19 for Couscous and Meats BUT it is totally worth it!! Our mains were nice.. maybe not quite as amazing as the Couscous but still delicious. I had the Chicken Bastilla which was delicious.. the 'pastry' was really light and wasn't dripping in oil like at other places.. My Fiance had a Paella which although was very nice it wasn't as good as the Moroccan fare.. The only thing that stopped me from giving Le Souke a 5 star rating was the awful bathrooms! The woman's bathroom was gross! It really needed a good clean and general repair to broken tiles etc.. One other word of advice if you don't know the area and you are easily offended don't sit by the window.. the view across the street is a number of empty stores.
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
