Great Time!

We had a great time. The girls give personalized attention for bachelorettes, birthdays, etc. We didn't eat the food, we just paid the cover so I can't comment there. We were not told that a 20% tip is added to your bill automatically.

• Pros: Ladies are wonderful
• Cons: 20% tip automatically added to check.

Great for any event!

It was my first time at a drag queen show and I LOVED IT!! It was so much fun how the they get the audience involved. The drinks were sooo yummy. The decoration was fabolous. The only thing that I did not like was that they forgot to bring out my food. There was 8 of us and they brought theirs but not mine. It took a while to get our waitress's attention but finally she noticed and it took another half hour after that to get my food. Other than that, everything else was really good!

• Cons: The food took a bit long

Good Food, Good times

I went to Lips for the first time a few weeks ago and I had a great time. The food was great, the staff was friendly and funny, and the entertainment was a barrel of laughs! I recommend this place for anyone with an open mind and wants to have a good time.

this is the type of place that is for people who don't know what a wild really is, but think that this is. Very Bridge and Tunnel. While there are drag queens working here, this is by no means a drag bar.

• Pros: can support a large group and the "girls" are good sports.
• Cons: most everything else.

What show?

We took a bachelorette party there and they say there is a show. The show is pretty much 3 waiters each sing one song. It was about a 15 minute show if that. So, if you are looking to just get served by drag queens and have a 15 minute show it's perfect, otherwise it's nothing special!!

The perfect place for a bachelorette!!!

I expected the workers to be bitchy, but for the most part, I was pleasantly surprised. The gal who took my reservation, the hostess and our waitress were great. Very pleasant and friendly. Our waitress was fantastic, they really do earn their money. The only thing is that the bus boys were not very nice and when we asked for plates to eat our appetizers, he ignored us. The food wasn't the best but you don't go there for their gourmet food. I would definetely go there again to celebrate a bachelorette or a girl's birthday. I would not suggest men go, unless they like getting teased by other men!

Great show, great food

This is a fantastic place. The shows are incredibly entertaining, the food is awesome. Not even terribly expensive, especially for a place in new york city. But be warned that on weekends there's a $7 cover charge, PER PERSON. Some waitresses are better than others, but its always fun.

I loathe this place!

This place was a huge disappointment. The waiter took away all appetizers when the entrees came. And you know what the problem was? We haven't even touched them yet! The food was disgusting. Veggie lasagna was nasty, and the chicken fettucine was disgusting and undercooked. The performers were not entertaining at all. They didn't even try. When the bill came, they had charged us for drinks we ordered but we didn't even get them!! The drinks NEVER came to our table. On top of that, they charged us for the appetizers we haven't even touched because the clueless waiter took them away. Bill was about $100! I'd rather go to a high-end restaurant. A total waste of money and time. Don't bother! They should close the place down!

Good entertainment, good food, fun, felt welcomed

We were there over 6 months ago and I just realized I can write a review now. It was really great. I ran an outing for 50 ladies and it was a smash. The entertainment was fantastic, food was great, the price was right. (we went for sunday brunch). Everyone had a great time. Because of this we tried Lucky Chengs for a change. Chengs was beyond horrible. People go to Lips, if you must go back again to Lips. Don't try to do something different you will be sorry. LIPS IS THE BEST. We will go there in the fall again, again and again.
