decent beer selection, no food, friendly bar-tender, strange number of blondes
by drink_club1
It was a strange little bar in the west village. Lots of TVs, that's not so strange. Lots of blondes... that IS strange... for New York anyway. New York doesn't do blondes, except for the over 45 set who figures blond is the best way to hide gray. But these were co-eds, clustered around each other, dancing, being talked to by the yuppish guys who you would expect to be at a sports bar. Weird crew. But we met some nice folks. A soccer team and some folks outside who said they'd show up next time.
There was no food in the place, but they had a bunch of menus to order in. No prob! The bartender was nice. There was a decent beer selection. --DrinkClubNYC is a roving group of NYC drinkers
- Pros: good beer selection, friendly staff and crowd
- Cons: no food
Satisfactory neighborhood bar
by nyc232w24
Great neighborhood bar with a friendly staff. I love dropping in on weekend afternoons to catch a game with friends. It can get VERY crowded during large sporting events however so be forewarned. I enjoy sneaking back to play some pool, but the restrooms on the way back have much to be desired as far as cleanliness and size. Overall a good nearby place (who can dislike the goldfish!) which fulfills my local waterhole desires.

Nostalgic college grads and local sports fanatics crowd this West Village tavern, especially when the Red Sox are playing.
Great Bartender
by mean_don
Great Bartender & jukebox. Short of alcohol, what else do you need? While not a destination bar, it is a great neighborhood bar.
- Pros: Great bartender, great jukebox, fun atmosphere.
- Cons: No food (except bar snacks)
Decent, nothing special.
by yukster11
Went there on a Thursday Night with a couple of people. There are about 6 flat screens throughout the bar to watch games. A pool table is in the back room and the jukebox is pretty decent (good mix of hip-hop, rock and pop). We were there for a while and no buybacks, which isn't right. Prices are average ($4.50) for Coors Light.
- Pros: TV's, Jukebox
- Cons: No buybacks

- Pros: Bartenders, Juke Box
great place to watch a game
by allisonaustin_citysearch
The huge flatscreen in back and the many tvs around the bar make this a great, not-too-crowded spot to catch a game.
It is what it is - Perfectly

Great sports bar - tons of t.v.s, great happy hour specials, friendly bartenders, good jukebox and a variety of folks hanging out. Would that it were closer to my own neighborhood - but it's well worth the commute.
- Pros: bartenders, drink specials, sports
Mediocre Sports Bar
by dwinkl
I guess in the sparce west village neighborhood, this is about as good as it gets. The wine is so mediocre that it almost begs for a lack of attention in this review. The prices can be o.k. if you like draft beer and come on a night when there are specials. All in all, this place does not pretend to be more than it is: a neighborhood hang to watch one of the dozen television sets with the crowd to observe the latest sporting event.
- Pros: Televisions, Sports on TVs, Proximity
- Cons: Noise, Price, Poor wine
Keep it up
