Overpriced Tourist Trap
by BLACKIE
An exceptionally rude waiter serves overpriced mediocre European tourist trap slop in a cramped and tacky setting
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Incompetent staff
Beware the European tip
by jwestside
I give this place five stars for its decor and food. BUT, and this really ruined my experience, the server wrote in about a 25% suggested tip to my bill, taking my total bill for 2 crepes and 2 cappucinos above $30.
The food and service were good, but a TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT tip?? I felt like I had been cheated by one of those waiters at tourist traps in Europe.
Not wanting the server to potentially do gross things with my food the next time (if there is a next time!), I just paid up, but this left a really bad taste in my mouth.
So maybe it really was authentically European.
- Pros: ambience, food
- Cons: extortionist tip
Simply wonderful!
by nycpazzachica
If you want a quiet place with amazing food and high quality tea and coffee Keko is amazing. Of the many cafes in NYC this is one of the best. Everything is made in house and the tea time is delicious. And the homemade cous cous is out of this world!!! Everyone should spend at least one afternoon at Keko
- Pros: quiet, inexpensive, International flavor
SIMPLY THE BEST
by delfina
This is the kind of place that has yet to be discovered by
someone who strives for the best coffee in town;
not the bread, not the food, not the place but the coffee.
This place is truly the best coffee you can get in the big apple.
Too good to be truth? go and experience it for yourself...
you'll see yourself doing long commutes no matter where
you are just to get a good zip of such excellent coffee.
Trust me, I'm very picky when it comes to coffee and KEKO
has just satisfied my most burning desire for the best coffee
in Manhattan.
