Great NYC Hotels!
by CitySlicker84
I have stayed at a few of the NY Inns Hotels and have been more than satisfied. They are all reasonably priced, conveniently located, clean, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I would recommend any of their hotels.
Value for Money!! - HOTEL 99
by Galt79
This place for the money you are paying is amazing! I've traveled all over Europe and stayed in budget hotels and they were, dirty and smelt like something had died under the bed. I recently stayed at Hotel 99 on the Upper West Side and it was brand new!! I felt so comfortable knowing that everything was clean and new it was a welcomed change.
Hotel 99 is the only option for anyone traveling to New York who doesn't want to spend a fortune on accommodation but still likes some of the finer things in life!!
- Pros: Clean and super friendly staff!!
- Cons: NONE

I tried to look for the Murray Hill Inn to review it but couldn't find it, so I decided to leave my thoughts here instead.
I stayed at the Murray Hill Inn about two weeks ago. A friend recommended it to me and it looked nice from what I saw on the website. I was very happy with the hotel during my stay. Upon my arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful in checking us in and getting the luggage to our room. The rooms were really clean, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet for being as close to midtown as it is. It's really close to the subway, and in a great part of town. When I left the staff booked a shuttle for me to the airport, and they store luggage after checkout if you have a flight that's later in the evening.
Altogether it was a really nice stay, and I'd recommend checking it out.
- Pros: low price, great location, clean and safe
- Cons: no elevator
Great Accommodations for the price
by Ovboy1
This hotel was exactly what I was expecting based on past reviews that I read and what citysearch had wrote. I was very satisfied with the room and the price because it fit my budget well and left me with money to enjoy NYC. Yes there isn't and elevator but they have a porter who carries al your bags up and down for you. Overall I could not have asked for more or expected more for the price paid. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling on a budget.
- Pros: Clean rooms and ultra-friendly and knowledgeable staff
- Cons: No elevator
sooo great for budget travelers!
by jacquelynny09
I love NY Inns! I've stayed at both the Murray Hill Inn and the Union Square Inn, and I've never been disappointed! The staff is really friendly, and they're always very clean (i'm a total germ freak so that's important in my book.
They are both in great locations - The Murray Hill inn is right near all the midtown attractions for travelers (like the empire state building and times square) but it's just far enough away so the noise of the city wont keep you up all night. The one in Union Sq is in such a fun part of town, surrounded by restaurants and bars, plus they have free breakfast, yay!
Also, its nice to be able to save money on a hotel and spend it on actually doing things in NYC. I've spent a lot of time looking for cheap hotels to stay in when i visit NY, but these are the best value i've found.I'd be happy to stay with them again. Hopefully I'll be back in NY soon!!
- Pros: cheap rates, friendly staff, clean accomodations
Fantastic Value
by 0817NC
I recently had friends in town who wanted to stay in a hotel; however, had a limited budget. After some research, we found the Union Square Inn on Citysearch and it was perfect! Very clean, comfortable, and welcoming -- it was a boutique hotel at a great price. I was impressed when I went to visit them in the hotel -- and they (a very picky audience) left very pleased! I will be recommending to others!
- Pros: Value - location - comfort
Feeling at home in a hassle-free part of the city.

The Scene
This part of town isn't the most exciting in the city--maybe that's why this place is so reasonably priced. A member of New York Inns hotel group ("boutique hotels for the budget-minded"), it's within walking distance of the East Village bars and Times Square cacophony. The staff is friendly and happy to offer information on sightseeing in New York.
The Details
The clean and neat rooms have air conditioning and Internet access. Not all have private bathrooms, but you can expect your own washbasin, at least. The funky colored bedspreads are a refreshing change from the standardized pastels used by many chains. Though the street is fairly quiet, ask for a room toward the back if you need primo silence.
Great Value and comfy room
by sb_fido
This is probably the best value to be had in all of Murray Hill and probably the entire city. Be sure to request a room on the 2nd floor or you may have to hike with your luggage. the bathroom was spectacular with a giant shower stall big enough for two. The bed was small (just a full as we only paid $109/night) but clean and comfortable. I will go back again. The staff was also very helpful and gave great recomendations for a local bite to eat.
- Pros: Cost, Very clean, Nice bathroom
- Cons: No elevator, Location boring
NO ELEVATOR !!!
by misterswing30
Somebody should asked this hotel to mention in its website that THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR !!!!
So better check-in as early as possible to be attributed first and second floor rooms... otherwise you will died in the stairway with your suitcase trying to reach the 4th and 5th floor !!! Of course, no one to help you carrying your luggage !!!
Good point : newly renovated bathroom... very clean.
Weak point : lobby staff not very helpful in solving problems...
- Pros: Clean bathroom, Convenient location, affordable price
- Cons: Noisy room, No elevator, Staff average
