Best of Scotland Cashmere truly is THE BEST!!

After being continuously disappointed by the poor quality of cashmere that I was finding, I began a search to find the best cashmere sweaters possible, in terms of quality, craftsmanship, color, and style. By doing some research, I came across Best of Scotland Cashmere in New York City, and within mere minutes of speaking with Charles and Tania, the proprietors, I knew my search was finally over.

As I live out of state and wouldn’t be to NYC for a couple of months, (and lacking the patience to wait), Charles suggested that I start by simply ordering one sweater, to check for size and fit. By giving Charles a simple and basic description of myself, he was able to get my size right the very first time. I have subsequently purchased numerous sweaters from them since then and the fit is impeccable every time. It’s as if the sweaters have been custom tailored to fit me! I wear one of my beautiful Best of Scotland Cashmere sweaters nearly every day and besides the perfect fit, I have yet to have any problem with pilling, clearly signifying the extraordinary quality these sweaters truly are!

On my most recent trip to New York, I had the good fortune to be able to personally meet Charles and Tania, and found that the only quality more wonderful than their beautiful cashmere is their genuinely kind, impressively knowledgeable, and extremely caring attention! I will forever be a loyal fan and client!

Good Cashmere find

My girlfriend and I were in NYC over the holiday and on a mission to find good quality cashmere sweaters. We found them here. Not only was the quality and price outstanding for cashmere, the color selection was fabulous and the owners, Charles and Tania, were engaging, helpful and entertaining. We very much enjoyed our shopping experience with them and wouldn't hesitate to return the next time we are in NYC!!

Best place for cashmere

I have been a client of Tanya and Charles' for over 15 years. They have always given me the best, friendliest and most honest service. The cashmere quality of everything I have bought is absolutely outstanding. Every once in a while I will stray and buy a cashmere sweater somewhere else (usually on when on vacation and not thinking straight), but even if is a recognized brand name, the quality does not stand up to the quality of Best of Scotland, and I end up giving the item away after only a few uses. Yes, Best of Scotland is not the cheapest cashmere you have ever bought, but it certainly is the best. I have had sweaters for over 15 years! Also, it is much fun to visit the display room. There are so many colors and styles, for both men and women. You are sure to find something you like. Best of Scotland is a treat and a find!

Best in Scotland is the bestest!

The cashmere sweaters at Best of Scotland are a treasure!The quality exceeds my expectation...they are soft and luxurious...and not to be matched anywhere. I have been purchasing sweaters here for many years.Tanya takes one look at me and knows exactly my fit. My collection is still in perfect condition.(I hand wash my sweaters in baby shampoo). It is a treat to shop at Best of Scotland in their elegant showroom with its quiet ambiance and personal attention.Their variety of colors and styles are suitable for all walks of life. Pricey? Yes,but worth it!

Eye Candy for Cashmere Lovers!!!

I live in Los Angeles and ONLY buy cashmere apparel at Best of Scotland! They offer the finest quality, color and style selection for both men and women that I have ever seen and that does include cashmere from many high fashion designers. My husband has purchased their cashmere shirts and sweaters for years and has them in every color. He loves comfort and wears them daily. My collection of cashmere is growing rapidly. I thoroughly enjoy wearing their vests and turtlenecks. I also have a stunning gray cape which is the envy of my girlfriends. The owners are so accomodating, warm and friendly. My only negative is that I live 3000 miles away. But shopping trips to New York aren't such a bad thing, right? If you really love cashmere, a visit to Best of Scotland is a must!!!

THE BEST OF SCOTLAND REALLY IS THE VERY BEST--FOR CASHMERE!!

i first purchased sweaters here because I noticed it just around the corner from my husband's office where I worked part time. Until last week, I had not been there for quite a numberr of years. Charles asked my why so long? My response, "I have a bunch of your sweaters and they just don't wear out." The place is fabulous--great customer service. They know what size you would be without your trying on even one sweater but you are encouraged to try on as many as you'd like. They are great at recommending colors if you are not sure and they're willing to exchange for size, color or style just because you want to do that. The merchandise is on the expensive side but IT'S THE REAL DEAL!! Most other cashmere's you see in the stores today are made in China or elswhere in the Far East and are so thin you can see right through them. These are fabulous and will be with you and wearable for as long as you wish to own them.

Wonderful Cashmere - the real deal!

Stumbled upon this gem on my way back from the dentist the other day. What a great find if you are in the market for REAL cashmere from Scotland. It is somewhat pricey but once you see the quality it is easily justified. Service is wonderful and attentive, selection seems endless. I will be back over and over again!

Best quality Scottish cashmere

I have been a customer at Best of Scotland for the past ten years. I stumbled on this treasure quite by accident as I walked past their Fifth Avenue location. The sign "100% pure Scottish cashmere" intrigued me because it was, and still is, virtually impossible to find cashmere of this quality, not to mention the selection, size options and the beautiful array of colors. I ventured up to the 6th floor penthouse and as the elevator opened, I felt like I was in cashmere heaven. The showroom is beautiful and the view overlooking Fifth Avenue is amazing. The owners, Tania and Charles, are just delightful. You're greated, showed around the showroom and invited to try on sweaters to determine your proper size. Incidentally, the sizing of these sweaters is by inches around the chest rather than by the standard small, medium, large, etc., so you definitely are assured of a proper fit. Prior to shopping at Best of Scotland, I shopped at some of the major stores in New York but was only able to buy cashmere made in China. I am happy to say that I now have a source for beautiful Scottish cashmere and continue to return to Best of Scotland for all my cashmere needs.

High quality cashmere at a great value

In a day and age where most cashmere in European designer sweaters does not come from Europe, Best of Scotland bucks the trend by stocking high quality Scottish cashmere. Don't let people tell you that there isn't a difference in quality and wear! The employees at Best of Scotland are really knowledgeable about how cashmere is made and can educate you on the differences in quality. The staff is very personable and there are a ton of styles and colors. Since making my first purchase at the store a couple of years ago, I have stopped buying cheaper cashmere at other stores. The many sweaters I have bought there wear incredibly well and do not pill like lesser quality (but not always lower priced) sweaters. Additionally, you can wash the sweaters in your washing machine, so you save money on dry cleaning. Scottish cashmere from Best of Scotland is a worthwhile investment that will pay off in the long run.
