User Reviews for The Rink at Rockefeller Center

I went to the Rink several times last summer. What can I say? Can you BEAT the views??? I simply love it is in an outdoor setting, yet semi enclosed from the public, (a bit escavated private lounge) The ambiance is Amazing! I prefer outdoor settings (however, not street front cafes- either elevated off the ground or escavated-) Im a bit hard to please. But I simply love the ambiance....Nice, sophistacated crowd, Oh, boy did I see quite a few good looking bachelors!!

I really like this rink but the ice is always snowy and is never smooth. It's crowded in the skating rental room, but the skates are good. The views are great and it 's very expensive.

Pros: The views,sights and sounds

Cons: The prices, the rental room, and the ice

Still one of the best places to go ice skating in or around NY. I have been quite a few times - sometimes it is a major stop for tourists and other days it is more of locals activity. Still fun no matter what way you put it.

Pros: decent prices

Cons: can be crowded

especially around the holidays. it's a bit on the spendy side - but with the christmas tree above you as you skate and all the lights at rockerfeller center it's a once in a few years cool thing to do. the ice doesn't get zamboni-ed enough. and it gets crowded. but it's fun to say you've done it once in a lifetime.
