It's hard to tell which is better, the selection or the service

We've gone back four years running to Creative Costume, and we've always been completely thrilled with the results. The costumes are high quality - so if you're just looking for a mask or a cape, this isn't really your place; you have to really enjoy dressing up to get the most out of it and for the price (our costumes run about $250 on average). The garment quality is fantastic, and they'll do on-site alterations to make it fit you - same day or come back later. The women who work there have a keen eye - they've often suggested something I wouldn't have thought of that turned out looking amazing, and they always want to help you have the complete look, with all the accessories you'll need. It's the first place I'd recommend for anyone looking to get their Hallowe'en on in a serious way!
- Pros: great selection, onsite alterations, complete look
- Cons: price tags high - but worth every cent
REALLY BAD SERVICE
by corsodecomo
I just have been around town looking for a costume, never did wear one ever. This was the first place I tried and I left within minutes. Soon as I came in I was rudely asked what I wanted. The place is dark and dreary and not inviting at all. Actually the dressing rooms were nice. The costumes were all in plastic bags so you couldnt really look around. The help was terrible and I left without finding anything. The costumes were not great, just okay. I think if you are in business you should treat people better.
- Pros: nice dressing rooms
- Cons: bad service, rude people and in the garment district
Theatrical-quality costumes, all dressed up and ready to rent.

In Short
Belles of the ball know this costume rental palace. A handy list catalouges thousands of guises, and the neat-and-tidy racks of elaborate finery are sorted by type and period--from 1400s medieval to 1960s mod--for easy browsing. Glamorous getups, ranging from $50 to $350 and in adult sizes only, include matching accessories like wigs, jewelry, boas or swords. Coordinated costumes for couples also abound. Pair up as famous duos like Aladdin and Jasmine, or the more risque Cop and Hooker.
REALLY BAD SERVICE

Upon entering this shop I was instantly asked " What do you Want", without even a hello. The
service was only good when they were charging my credit card. Rude employees, and the feeling you were intruding into their private world. The shop itself, left a lot to be desired. Everything was covered in plastic, which made you feel like you were in a store room or a dry
cleaners. Dingy, Drab and Lack Luster. Costumes were adequate, not great!
- Pros: Adequate Costumes, good condition
- Cons: poor service, garment district location, over-priced
good costumes, horrible service

Maybe it was because it was a few days prior to Halloween, but the service was horrible. It was not crowded at all- and the staff had attitude and were unwilling to help. I called earlier, asked about prices and a certain costume. I was quoted incorrectly as I was told when I got there. It was expensive and the they did not offer to alter the costume. The costume also had a rip in the back near the zipper and they acted as if they wanted to cover it up. They have variety and some great outfits- just don't expect them to be in great shape with service along with that.
