Still the same great services at very good prices but now on 16 East 40th St. 2nd fl. between 5th and Madison. I've tried other spas for diff. services but this is the one i always recommend.
Pros: relaxing, thorough and knowledgeable.

Small location but very professional and friendly staff, with a warm wonderful atmosphere. They provide affordable services and are located in Midtown.

There is not enough rooom for me to iterate the joy and pleasure I had having a facial at BodyEssentials Day Spa... it was so gentle and thorough, and you know how wonderful you feel after a facial? Well, that feeling usually lasts a few days, but that feeling lasted lasted over two weeks! With the help of my aestetician, who was highly educated in Ayurvedic services, I was recommended the most perfect unguents for my dry-patched skin. I still go there as often as I can, for the most perfect facial I could ever want.
Pros: Parking across the st, Fab Facials, Great Massages
Cons: NONE

The building felt rundown with wall paper peeling and chipped paint. The elevator felt like a coffin. The reception area was in fluorescent lighting!!! No ambience. The waiting room was dimmed, but still decorated in cheesy wicker furniture. The masage was decorated in mosquito netting hung from the ceiling particleboards. The massage was good but my massesus talked the entire time. After 45 mins, a tent was put over my body with piped in steam as I enjoyed a face massage. That was excellent. There was no locker room and only 1 shower so I had to leave my clothing on the floor in the bathroom. I also felt some sales pressure as my masseus kept on asking me when I was going to come back. All in all, I enjoyed the massage but I did not feel pampered or as relaxed.
Pros: steam tent, skillful
Cons: , ugly place, no ambience

Body Essentials is a little corner of heaven. A little jewel box of a spa, located across from the hustle and bustle of Macys, it offers warm and friendly therapists and a sweet homey touches. The treatments to sigh for? I love the relaxing facials, also owner Dawn is great with the microdermabrasion treatments. Very gently and you see the difference immediately. Also major are the massages like the 4 hand and the hot stone. Mmmmmm...... Don't take my word. Experience it for yourself!
Pros: great prices, fabulous service, great array of treatm

I absolutely love Body Essentials! I have been a customer since 2001 and have been transformed. My skin radiates and my soul is calmer because of the many wonderful individuals who work at Body Essentials. Their customer service is impeccable and I love going back because I know I will be warmly greeted and taken care of.
