Wonderful wedding!
by Lexi750
I held my wedding here in June (Rialto Room) and everything was perfect! We held the ceremony in the outdoor atrium which had a really unique NYC vibe and the dinner/dancing were in the Rialto Room. The food was amazing (received nothing but compliments from my guests, even from some 'critical' family members). Though the restaurant itself is a little expensive I found the value for money for an event is exceptionally good for Manhattan. The staff were wonderful, esp. Oscar (Manager of that evening) and Rachel (Event Manager). They could not have been more helpful to us and our vendors. I have to think of another event to plan so I can throw it at Remi :)
not too bad

came here w/ a friend after work and was thinking trying out the R/week menu. the experience started off rocky but got progressively better. first when my friend and i got to remi, the maitre d ignored us for a good 2 min trying to organize her menu stack and did not even greet us or anything. after she finally got her area organized then turned to us. i told her we made a resv. and we were seated. she did NOT give us the r/week menu but ONLY the regular one. Only after i inquired about it from the waiter did he bring us the R/w menus (not his fault, it's the maitre d's). the waiter was pretty attentive thru out the dining experience but i did ha ve to ask for water a few times... the food was excellent (had the beet salad and salmon - cooked perfectly). the dessert was nothing to rave about but nothing terrible either. all in all my friend and i had a good time...
Beautiful Space

One thing that truly stands out about Remi is the restaurant itself. It's very spacious with high ceilings and a huge floor to ceiling window that adds a touch of elegance and awe to the place. The food is equally as exceptional and everyone at my table easily cleared their plate - we had gnocchi, risotto, fish and a veal dish and absolutely everything was top notch. This is a great place to get the family together or celebrate something special.
Everything it's cracked up to be.

My family is Italian (di Roma) on my mom's side, so suffice to say I'm a little picky when it comes to Italian Food. The service was immaculate (Alessandro and the rest of the staff were fantastic), warm, welcoming and very attentive (but not excessively so). They have a full bar, an admirably extensive wine list, and soda. The bread was delicious, the olive oil tasted earthy, and the food. My goodness the food.
We had the Polenta with melted Fontina, Tuna Tartare and the Scallops for appetizers. All to die for.
For the main courses, we had the Spinach Gnocci in a pink sauce (they were so fluffy and delicate that they just melted in your mouth), the Pumpkin Ravioli in a Sage Butter sauce (also light and wonderful as the pasta is made in house fresh daily), and the Filet Mignon (dear lord that green peppercorn sauce knocked all our socks off in a wonderful way).
We were so pleasantly stuffed from the meal that we sadly didn't have room to try any of the incredibly enticing desserts.
I highly recommend Remi for a romantic evening out, family celebrations, a classy dinner, work lunches/dinners/events or even just to satiate a foodie's longing for wonderful food, deliciously prepared, immaculately presented and wholeheartedly enjoyed through and through.
I rediscovered Remi 7 years after it fell of my radar.

I rediscovered Remi 7 years after it fell of my radar. Wow, I didn't know that pasta could taste this good! I'm not kidding you when I say that I was delightfully surprised with every bite. From the apps to the main course to dessert: everything I tried was STELLAR! It's a rare & welcome occassion that I leave a restaurant in NYC thinking, "wow, that was worth every penny!" Perhaps more refreshing was the range of dishes. There are no complicated flavor combinations or frilly garnishes or overly structured presentations at Remi--just phenomenal food made with fresh ingredients. A great wine list to accompany the meal. And the staff if excellent. You guys should open one in Connecticut.
- Pros: Great location if you heading to a show.
- Cons: we drove here...a no no in manhattan.
Great food and service
by Marcello2
I travel between Italy quite often and the US and I stumbled into Remi Restaurant by accident. Wonderful experience and therefore the best "accident" that has ever hppened to me. Food was great and I particularly fell in love with the "Vitello Tonnato" and the classic "Ossobuco". Service was outrstanding and the GM, a nice gentlman from Milan, personally took care of us by offering suggestions, despalying a great knowledge of the wine list. The atmoshere was also quite intriguing and I felt I was back into my hometown in Italy for a while but with the addition of glamor and professionalism which we find in italy quite rearly.
Great 'cioccolatissimo" a warm chocolate souffle' interpreted Italian style. Highly reccomended...
- Pros: great location and great atmoshere
- Cons: Not too much advertising and therefore I did not know of its existence.
Great service, food was tasty, expensive so make your boss pay

The service here was excellent. I really enjoyed the seafood and the bread. It's not cheap, so make someone else pay.
- Pros: Tasty, Great Service
- Cons: Expensive
Good food & drinks
by kkat825
Just walked in (party of 3), no reservations, no hassle. Seating available after a brief wait which gave us a chance to grab drinks at the conveniently located bar as soon as you enter to the right. Happy hour specials available...martinis were delicious. The food portions are large - so mind what you order for appetizers. We had the rare tuna app, buffalo mozz/tomato app, portobello ravioli, lasagna, salmon and risotto special. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. No room for desert.
- Pros: Nice setting, close to shows, attentive staff
- Cons: Be prepared to park in garage
great location, exceptional service, delicious food

We were not from the area but were going into the city and needed to find somewhere to eat after the christmas show at Radio City. I was skeptical selecting a restaurant over the internet, but was pleasantly pleased with the results. Based on the reviews, location, prices, and menu I chose Remi's. Christmas in NY can be a crowd frenzie and I was nervous that the restraunt experience would not measure up during this caotic time of year. Not only did it measure up, it exceded my expectations. We were warmly greeted and seated promtly to a lovely table for four. Our wait staff were very helpful, attentive, and unobtrusive. They were readily present, attending to our immediate needs. You hardly knew they were there. Not once did we feel the need to request someting, they seemed to know what we wanted or needed (even before we did), there was no having to ask for service here. What more could you want? Our head waiter was excellent. We wanted a nice meal at a reasonable price and he senced that. He was very warm and friendly, he made you feel as though you were invited into his own home for dinner. He assissted us with wine selections, and menu choices and he was dead on with his recommendations.
Being a wine lover I was pleased with the extensively wonderful and very tempting wine list, but we chose a reasonable price selection and it was fine for our dinning purpose. Each of us ordered one of the pasta dishes. The pasta was light, just the right size proportion, served piping hot, and cooked to perfection. We all sampled each others and each was more delicious than the next.
I would definately go back without question! No worries here, good food, good people, good atmosphere, clean, efficient service....a great dining experience. Great job to the staff and chefs at Remi's.
The only FYI I have is that the menu on their web site is not exactly the same as in the restaurant, but it was very similar (food/prices) and all good just the same.
- Pros: food,service, price, cleanliness.
- Cons: menu on their web site not exactly the same as in the restaurant, similar none the less

Food was good, decor fine. Lived in NY most of my life and was trying to make a show. Everything was fine until I tried to get my coat for 10 minutes before asking the maitre 'd to assist me, which he seemed to ignore my request. Waited 10 more minutes until my showtime to ask the maitre 'd once more if there was something he could do. His reply was "Areverderchi this is NY get used to it". I dine thoughout the city on a regular basis and have never incountered this rude attitude at any restaurant that I have dined. I would have to say I will never return.
